Genesplicer Template
Basic Information
Name: Harbinger Of the World Eater
Hive Rank: Broodlord
Age: Adult
True Age: Ancient
Sex: Male
Personality: Harbinger possesses no outward personality traits that could be mistaken for individual ego. In his humanoid guise, Harbinger exudes nothing but a calm and unnerving presence, amplified in part by the piercing gaze of his dark eyes. When he speaks he is direct and considered. Every word serves a purpose and is calculated. While Harbinger has studied the various societies of the world, he possesses neither the ability nor desire to emulate it. Harbinger is confident in both himself and his purpose, as well as the superiority of his race over all others. However, he does not take risks and he does nothing to put his Hive-Queen in danger. Harbinger possesses no attachment to his subordinates, sacrificing them at will to further his own goals and those of the Hive. However, he will not hesitate to sacrifice himself to ensure victory for Scylla, and such is the connection between Harbinger and the Hive-Queen that his loyalty to her is absolute. To this end, Harbinger quietly goes about his business, unless he is forced by an enemy into his true form.
When Harbinger is forced to show his true form, his personality undergoes several changes. The quiet calm is replaced by a zealous dedication to his mission. He knows that if he is forced into reverting to this form that the enemy poses a danger to his mission or to the Hive-Queen, and he reacts by engaging the danger with an almost blind fanaticism, leaving him prone to mistakes as he seeks to end his enemy by whatever means necessary. The calm and calculated Harbinger gives way to a near-suicidal fountain of juggernaut of destruction, who exists by the simple creed, “victory is life”. If he fails, his life is forfeit, so completing his objective is everything.

Fears: Nothing.
Character Appearance
Height: Humanoid/True Form - 6’4”/8’6”
Weight: Humanoid/True Form - 260 lbs/568 lbs
Physical Traits:
Humanoid -
Harbinger’s humanoid form takes the appearance of a tall and imposing man with a gaze as black as night. No-one has lived long enough to see what lies underneath so his actual facial features in this form remain a mystery.
True Form -
In his true form, Harbinger becomes exactly as his name suggests. This form gives his opponents a glimpse of the terror that is to come when Hive-Queen Scylla emerges from her slumber to feast upon the World of the Living. Harbinger is quite insect-like in movement and appearance with 2 legs and four arms, the upper pair of which end in giant sickle-like claws, similar to that of a praying mantis and which are as hard as steel. Harbinger’s actual flesh is a sickly-green color and is covered in gray plates that form a protective shell around him.
Clothing: Harbinger’s humanoid form is shrouded in a suit of dark leather armor, with many overlapping lames and straps. The costume is completed with a large hood and face shroud, as well as a dark cloak, just to emphasise his mysterious purpose.
Accessories: None
Fighting Style
General Fighting Style: Harbinger uses craft and cunning when in his human form, to make up for his lack of physical pace. He’s not a slouch by any means, but he relies on technique and positioning against enemies towards the upper end of the speed scale. He will use anything to achieve his goal. This can vary between subterfuge, misdirection, environmental conditions, sacrificing his minions, and anything else he can think of. His main objective is simply to buy time for Scylla’s awakening, so he makes ample use of stalling tactics to keep his enemies at bay.
When he is forced into his true form, Harbinger’s tactics change considerably. He becomes more fanatical in his duty, and becomes more direct, using his strength and mass to try and pummel his enemies into submission. His armor plates allow him to shrug off even more punishment. He makes use of all of his abilities and throws everything at the opposition, knowing that his failure means death anyway.
Strengths:Strength: Harbinger’s main ally. As the primary protector of Scylla the World-Eater, Harbinger begins play with almost unmatched physical strength. This not only gives him tremendous power when fighting in close-combat, but also makes it harder for others to stagger him with force.
Durability: Also vital to Harbinger’s role is his ability to absorb tremendous amounts of punishment, giving him more time to decimate his enemies.
Stamina: Harbinger needs to buy time. Time requires effort. Effort requires Stamina. You do the math.
Weaknesses:Speed: Harbinger is no slouch, but his speed definitely does not compare favorably to quick fighters. He relies on positioning to get by.
Genesplicer Racial Traits
Trait Name: Hive Telepathy
Description: All members of a genesplicer hive share a telepathic bond. Lesser members of the hive serve stronger members, and all bow to the Hive queen to do her bidding. A broodlord controls up to 5 hive-knights who can command up to 20 lesser tyranids at once. Hive telepathy allows for instant and efficient coordination of large groups of forces across long distances. However, when a hive-knight is killed, its underlings die. If a brood-lord is killed, Its underlings die. If the queen is killed, the entire hive dies with her.
Trait Name: Condensed Muscle Fibre
Description: All Gene Splicers have condensed muscle fibre granting them incredible speed and strength. However, in Harbinger’s case it has been geared more towards his physical strength. Compared to other Genesplicers, he is relatively slow, but he has higher strength than average in return.
Trait Name: Bio-Plasma Spit
Description: All Genesplicers are capable of spitting a bala-powered ball of plasma from their mouths. Stronger hive members have more specialised versions, such as Scylla’s Bioplasma Cannon.
Trait Name: Heightened Recovery Rate
Description: All Genesplicers have a heightened speed of regenerations similar to arrancar, however they can consume biomass, either from dead Genesplicers, humans, or severed limbs, to repair their body and regrow limbs in the space of a post.
Trait Name: Will of the Hive
Description: All Genesplicers, while still retaining enough sentience to make individual decisions, are guided by the hive mind. Due to this powerful neural link, Genesplicer units are immune to Fear effects, as well as any other mind-affecting abilities. This also renders Hyper-Intuition and similar quirks or abilities ineffective due to the fact that you're trying to read the intend of a being that shares little to no human traits or nature.
Trait Name: Elemental Weakness
Description: The only discernible weakness is their susceptibility to burning. All Genesplicers take double the amount of damage from fire-based attacks.
Humanoid Form
Ability Name: Bioplasma Rifle
Description: Harbinger possesses a rifle formed from his own biomass. The rifle is semi-automatic, and the shots each deal a bala-worth of damage, melting through most known alloys with ease. This allows it to penetrate all but the hardiest of armours.
Ability Name: Sword of the Harbinger
Description: This brutal-looking broadsword is made of a near-unbreakable metallic substance, allowing Harbinger to hack his enemies up in close-combat. Once every 3 posts, Harbinger can coat the blade with acidic bile from his mouth, allowing the blade to temporarily have the same armor penetration qualities as his bioplasma weapons. This lasts just for the post it is used in.
Ability Name: Acidic Blood
Description: Harbinger’s blood is even more acidic than that of the average Genesplicer. Whenever he receives a laceration, the blood begins burning into anything non-metallic it comes into contact with. It doesn’t burn for long, but does cause immense pain and will leave severe burns on the affected area until treated.
Ability Name: Harbinger’s Shroud
Description: Harbinger can harden his biomass cloak into a shield that can block up to a Gran Rey Cero of damage. 3 post cooldown.
True Form
Ability Name: Bioplasma Burst
Description: Harbinger fires a large ball of superheated bioplasma from his mouth. It hits with the force of a cero, melting through the armor of anything it hits with relative ease. 1 post CD.
Ability Name: Call The Horde
Description: The following allies are available to Harbinger to summon to his side. If he is within the hive when doing this, the allies appear from anywhere around him. If outside, they come out of the ground. All allies have the Genesplicer racial traits plus one unique ability, as well as above average strength and speed.
- Available Summons:
Brood Horror - Tier 1-2Height: ~10’Weight: ~1000 lbsAbility - Massive DamageThe strength of the Brood Horror is such that each blow from its massive fists also deals a cero of force damage to the target. The power needed for such a creature’s usage means that Harbinger can only create one per thread.
Broodknight - Tier 1-4Height: 6’Weight: 266 lbsAbility - Bio-ShieldThe Broodknight is able to form a barrier of bioelectric energy in front of it to protect itself and anything behind it. The shield can block up to a Gran Rey Cero of damage, and can only be used once in a thread. If necessary, the Broodknight can also infused its own body into the shield, allowing it to block anything short of a Last Resort or any other attack equivalent to or in excess of 2 Cero Oscuras. This secondary ability results in the death of the Broodknight.
Gear - Bio-SwordsThe Broodknight comes with 4 bio-swords, similar to Harbinger’s, but without the acid-coating ability.
Broodsoldier - Tier 2-1Height: 5’ 9”Weight: 185 lbsAbility - Strength in NumbersThe Broodsoldier gains a x2 boost(Shikai-level) if in close proximity(i.e. 20 yds) of another Broodsoldier. The boost applies to strength and speed only.
Gear - Bio-Plasma RifleThe Broodsoldier comes equipped with a Bio-Plasma rifle, similar to Harbinger’s, with the damage scaled to their tier.
Broodling - Tier 2-3Height: 4’Weight: 110 lbsAbility - Self-DestructThe Broodling’s ability is a Last Resort in every sense of the term. On command, the Brodling can detonate itself in an explosion with a strength of 2 cero and a radius of 10 feet. Obviously, the Broodling is destroyed in the process.
Harbinger has 10 “summon points” to spend at the start of a particular thread. This represents the strength of the retinue he commands. The point value for each unit is as follows.
Brood Horror - 10 (can only summon one per thread)
Broodknight - 6
Broodsoldier - 2
Broodling - 1
As the fight goes on, Harbinger is constantly absorbing biomass from his surroundings, be it bodies, plants, etc. This means that he essentially “regenerates” 1 summon point per post.
Ability Name: Devourer Beam
Description: Harbinger’s strongest attack. He fires a beam of bio-plasmic energy towards the target. When the beam hits something, be it friend or foe or anything in between, it detonates with a large explosion with a radius of 50 ft and the damage of a Cero Oscuras. The beam itself has a range of 50 yards before dissipating. 4 post cooldown.
Boosts: Strength, Speed and Durability all x2
