Personality: An optimistic child, almost to a fault, who seemingly has ADHD, Raiden is a fun loving kid. Even when on the brink of death, he can always think of something worse that could happen or worse way of dying. He absolutely hates boring, uninteresting, monotonous, and emotionless things and people. Most of the time, only reason why he does paperwork/homework is so he has something to do. While typically not a troublemaker, he will try to find a person's sore spot and provoke them into attacking, so that he can have some fun.

Despite leaving Soul Society, he is still extremely loyal to the current Head Captain, and still sends reports on his activities and about potential threats to them. The reason for his departure was because Raiden didn't think he was strong enough to serve the Head Captain, and thus left to enhance his skills and power, leaving note saying he will return when he feels he is strong enough to help protect Soul Society. It is theorized he has an inferiority complex with captain class fighters, though he is one himself.

While extremely childish in nature, most of it is just a ruse. He has a sharp eye for deception and finding out one's true goals, though doesn't really say anything about it. His senses are insanely high, allowing him to accurately pinpoint a person's power level to determine whether they'll be any fun, an absolute bore, or if the person will slaughter his ass. Raiden will absolutely refuse to fight someone so much more powerful than he, even trying to persuade them to get a subordinate to fight him. He will also temporally work with a group as long as whatever they need him for is fun and don't go against his base loyalties.

While seemingly cold to others' plight, there are some things that will still grate on his nerves, such as attempted rape or beating when the person getting beaten can't even stand. Any crime against a woman who can't defend herself properly really pisses him off, but isn't afraid to fight one if she has proven that she can fight well. Anything else, he'll often stay hidden and watch the entertainment. He has no bias towards murder or killing, even if training, believing if they can't block a basic attack, they shouldn't be challenging him, though the first strike may not be fatal. He will stop if the person can't even defend himself/herself anymore.

Raiden is a naturally combative person, always trying to find a worthy opponent. His viewpoint on that matter is very similar to Kenpachi Zaraki, the only difference being he will end a fight if the opportunity arises instead of making the fight last longer. Despite this, he is a very understanding person, and a good compromiser, evident when he negotiated with his inner hollow and convinced it to work with him instead of fighting him for control.

Fears: Not being able to fight. Opponents that are outragously stronger than him that he has to fight alone. a boring world

Physical traits: He is fairly skinny and could probably be more accurately called lanky, for someone of his age in looks. He looks like to be of Caucasian decent. Raiden has light brown hair, though he typically dyes it in various shades of white, black, red (not pink), green, blue, or violet. His eye color is blue-gray, but due to his closeness to his hollow, his right eye has black whites and is yellow in color, like Ichigo's in hollow mode. This gives him mismatched eyes. His hair style is the typical shag cut with the exception of a lock of hair that's braided on his right side. On the corner of each eye is lightning bolt tattoo, each of different colors. The lightning bolt on the corner of his right eye is blue while the other one is red.

Clothing: Being one that hates being monotonous and boring, his clothing style changes often, though typically is some combination of shirt and jeans/jean shorts according to the weather. One of the only constants is that he wears tennis shoes, though the actual style and color changes. His zanpakutou is typically hidden on his back, underneath his clothes, or in a black duffle bag. Sometimes his zanpakutou is on his hip, but only in a private place when he's trying to attract some fun. (sorry I'm not more specific, but that is just the type of person he is.)

Accessories: Varies, but only clothing wise. Like ties, belts, etc.



General fighting style: With his sealed zanpakutou, he makes use of his exceptional speed to do single or two quick slashes at the enemy before reappearing on the other side, and then repeating. Against those that are just as fast as he is, his style is much the same as any other. With shikai, he tends to use the defensive form first, to scope out an opponent before switching to his offensive, his combat aggressiveness being appropriate with each form. He only starts with the offensive form if the person is so bland that he wishes to destroy them quickly or someone that is far more powerful than he is that forces him to fight them, though this is rare. With bankai, he strikes a balance between the two zanpakutou forms in terms of aggressiveness. (Zanpakutou's transformation will be discussed later.)

Strengths: Expert Swordsmanship, Shunpo Expert-to the use of Utsusemi and being able to create a max of  five after images, similar to Soi Fon's clones, but to a weaker degree. Hand to hand combat practitioner-he can defend himself to a degree without a weapon, but this form of combat is only used if separated from his zanpakutou. Cero-with his hollow's mask on, he can use the basic cero ability, however, he charge it and fire it quickly. Lightning resistant-lightning element attacks do 50% the damage they would normally do against him, due to his elemental affiliation. Sensing: Through direct eyesight only, be it on monitor or in person, he can tell one's exact power level, even if you're hiding it. He'll also be able to tell if you're disguising your power as something else, but not what you are race wise, unlike where he'll tell what race you are if you're just hiding it. Outside of that, he's average at best.

Weaknesses: Kido-so much so that he can't even use the most basic ones properly, yet he's extremely proficient with the use of Cero. His unwillingness to combine his hollow mask and bankai at least initially is another weakness. He also doesn't do well with teams, but is willing if the opponent is certainly strong enough. His physical strength is also average, which is a necessity for physical fighters like him.



Sealed Appearance: A standard katana with a dark grey hilt that has a single, blue line down the center. The guard is an oval shape, with lightning bolts etched all around. The scabbard is black and undecorative.

Spirit's Name: Shougeki S/Shougeki C



Spirit Appearance: An armored werewolf. The fingers of the gaunlets are blades, while the rest of the arms are undecorative, with the exception of some spikes. The rest of the armor resembles a dark knight, with a pair of large spikes on the shoulders. His chest is also open whose fur seems to be a dark grey. The actual color scheme of the armor tends to change with each visit. His eyes are also red. The werewolf stands at seven and a half feet tall.

Spirit Personality: Shougeki seems resemble the darker side of Raiden's personality, as he is merciless and cold. Naturally, he is rather combative and enjoys fights, no matter who the opponent is. The oddity though is that, like Raiden, he hates being boring and monotonous, changing the armor's color scheme often and redecorating the inner world. He doesn't like Raiden's inner hollow much though, despite their own similarities. His ability to tansform from a defensive form to an offensive form doesn't affect his appearance, just his aggressiveness in battle.

Inner World: A powerplant that converts lightning into usable electricity. The place has several power substations all around and complete with a parking lot, which is always full for no reason. A lightning storm is constantly striking at the various lightning rods, no matter where they've been placed.

Kido: Raiden doesn't even acknoledges the existance of kido. That is how much he sucks at it.



Call out command: "Shock: Shougeki S!" "Shock: Shougeki C!"

Appearance: Shougeki S-The defensive form is a double edged rapier sword with electrical energy in a cone shape around the blade starting from the guard. The entire weapon light blue. Despite looking flimsy, it's really quite strong.

Shougeki C-The offensive form is a ten foot long scythe with a five foot long scythe blade. The shaft's diameter is four inches. On the opposite end of the scythe blade is a trio of rings around the shaft, which serve as weights to counter balance the scythe blade. A thin blue aura surrounds the entire weapon, with electricity sparking around the blade. The entire thing is light blue. Despite its large size compared to Raiden, he can still use it rather effectively.

Abilities: To switch from one form to the other, Raiden must say the command and the version he wishes. Because of this, he cannot just go straight into shikai like other bankai users. Each version has two abilities.

S: Kagami-a net of electricity forms around Raiden and anyone nearby. The net catches energy based attacks (such as cero and kido, and non-physical elements) and redirects it back at the opponent at a faster speed, though the attack is slightly weaker. The attack, however, must spin around the net before it is fired back. Raiden also cannot move from the one spot, but he can still defend with the sword against physical attacks and spin in place. Two post duration limit.

Hekireki Koutetsu-Electrical armor consumes his body. This lessens his speed by a tenth, but gives an overall defensive boost. This armor helps protects from anything, acting like a tough hierro for a short time, lessening damage by up to sixty percent and lessening strikes down to shallow cuts in some cases. Shikai and equivalents could still cut him and do damage, but it would be lessened, at least those within three tiers of him. Three post duration, with a two post cooldown.

Sekisho-a wall of electricity appears in front of him. The size can vary from the size of a building to a human sized shield, depending on how many people he wishes to protect, the larger also consumes the most energy. The shield can guard against anything, but can only be up for a short time. One post limit on duration with a one post cooldown.

C: Shottogan-multiple lightning strikes come out of the entire scythe. With this he can strike at multiple opponents. The attack is moderately powerful and acts like Hado 4: Byakurai.

Ikazuchi-a more concentrated wave or blast of lightning is fired through the blade. His most powerful attack with shikai and bankai without his hollow's mask. It is comparable to Ichigo's Getsuga Tensho. One post cooldown.

Electro-Storm-Upon his call, in a thirty yard radius of him, a literal lighting storm will explode outward to that range, causing minimum damage, and creates an electrical box around them. You still force your way in or out, but you'll get shocked constantly while doing it. Just touching won't get you shocked, just trying to force your way in or out will. Ranged attacks are also slowed down by half if coming into the box or out. Inside of it, Rai is immune to all of its effects. Rai can summon lightning tunnels to swoop him out of the way at the last minute or attack with lightning bolts the strength of a Hado 65 twice per post, but with a one post cooldown. Lasts 4 posts, two post cooldown.

Boosts: His speed doubles. Depending the form, his boosts may change. For S, his durability triples. For C, his strength triples.



New name: Niruida Shougeki

Appearance: Raiden's hands and forearms gain chunks of armor resembling the armor on the werewolf spirit, minus the bladed fingers. The leggings are also armored and only covers up to his knees. On each shoulder is a plate of armor with a large spike coming out of it, like his zanpakutou spirit, the spike being surrounded by a blue aura in a cone shape. Raiden keeps/gains the scythe. Typically not used in conjunction with his hollow's mask.

Abilities: Allows him to use all six of his zanpakutou's abilities to greater power than in shikai. As in doubled their original effectiveness

Boosts: Speed is doubled, his strength is doubled, but the biggest increase is his durability, being tripled.



Appearance: He looks like a pasty white version of Rai. Except he doesn't dress up like him or have his hair dyed the same way, opting for stripes instead of solid colors.
Personality: Besides being more sadistic and evil, and more artistic and hating Shougeki, virtually no difference between Shiro and Rai personality wise.



Appearance: The mask covers all of Raiden's face, with a band going around his head at 45 degree angles from his eyes back, connecting at the center of the head in a circle. On each band is a row of seven inch long spines that are red. The spines start just before the band branches out. The teeth of the mask resembles Ichigo's mask's, but are black. The rest of the mask is dark blue, with the exception of around the mouth and teeth, in which the blue color ends in spikes. The area around the mouth and teeth are white.

Abilities: Strength and speed augmentation, doubled each. Enhanced durability, specifically 2.5 times.

Hollow Powers: Cero-His cero is a dark blue-grey color. He can charge it up and fire it rather quickly without sacrificing any strength. His cero is also stronger than most and has precise control over its power thanks to his unique sensing ability.

High-speed Regeneration, but is only average in it.

Kuragari Arashi: Literally translating to Darkness Storm, it holds to that name. Black electricity is gathered and fired in various forms, typically in waves like his Ikazuchi, but can be fired like his Shottogan or as various other forms. Except it is easily his strongest attack, only being able to use it three times before his mask will shatter and Rai be fatigued. The more concentrated it is, the more damage it will do. After each use, a third of his mask will break. It can even be used to empower his zanpakutou for a single post and then fired that same post. There is a two post cooldown after each use, except after the last as his mask does shatter and will not be able to use it until after he has recovered.



Appearance: Rai can only use this while in bankai. The armor of his bankai turns black, as does his scythe. Three foot long spikes emerge from his back, down to his kidneys and in pairs. On his knees form a plate of black armor, complete with a small, four inch spike. On the top of his forearms form a two foot long, curved, black scythe blades. His hair doesn't lengthen very much, just to where it's shoulder length now. He also gains a blue armor chest piece that has a single piece of armor that goes down from where the sternum is. That one inch wide piece stops a couple of inches above his waistline. Coming from it are rib like patterned red armor that stops even with the center of his arm pits. His skin becomes much paler, almost resembling his inner hollow.

Abilities: Kuragari Arashi basically becomes free lightning manipulation. From shields to any of his of his former abilities. Whatever he uses it for, will have the appropriate cooldown, like if he fires a Gran Rey equivalent, it will have a 3 post cooldown. His Ikazuchi would have its one post cooldown, etc.

Boosts: Cero strength is doubled, his lightning resistance increases to 75%, and strength, speed, stamina, spiritual pressure, and durability is upgraded x4.

His high speed regeneration does not recieve any bit of increase, so it is still mediocre.



Background: Raiden had a fairly normal childhood, if having both parents in the military could constitute as normal. His mother was chef at a military base while his father was in the intelligence division.  Due to the military's influence and blandness in everything except food, Raiden rebelled against such ideas at a very young age. Despite moving all the time, he always looked at the upside, due to his mother's influence. At the same time, he respected strength and strength of character and an unwillingness to back down when trying to save comrades. He learned this when witnessing his father standing up to a superior officer when the other man tried to abandon his father's friends in a different division, and he giving them intel. Rai's father had to be knocked out before he was removed and was charged with insubordination, but Raiden respected and admired his father for what he did. One of his father's friends ended up dying, but he died holding the enemy back long enough for them to escape.

However, also due to his father's infuence, Raiden developed a coldness in other's plight, as his father didn't care what happened to other people besides those he considered comrades. Also due to living in the military, Raiden was desensitized to blood and murder, as the base had been attacked by terrorists before. He was also taught by his mother about being able to understand where other people are coming from and how to compromise. Rai showed a natural talent in the field, even being able to figure out a person's true motives quickly.

A terrorist attack ended his life at the age of thirteen. He was immediately sent to Soul Society. Upon waking up, Rai witnessed a fight between several swordsman against a single man in black robes and white jacket, unknown to him at the time being a captain's haori. After the man defeated the swordsmen quickly and easily, Rai approached him and asked him several questions. Noticing the boy had an unnatural amount of spiritual pressure, the man told him about Soul Society and the Shinigami Academy. Raiden followed the man's advice, taking him two tries to enter the academy, more because of his age than anything.

While at the academy, he quickly gained the affinity for swordsmanship and shunpo, and combined them to deadly effect. While he failed at kido spectacularly, his other abilities more than made up for it to allow him to pass. He graduated at around the middle of the pack, but was widely considered one of the best swordsman and fastest among the group. It wasn't until after that he heard of the Royal decree. The shinigami were no longer allowed into the human world, but the vizards were…

Life as a shinigami was boring and uninteresting, Raiden only getting a few worthy sparring partners, and even then it didn't take long for him to find a way to beat them, leaving them in the hospital for days. The paperwork was also boring, but he did just out of boredom. It didn't take long for anyone far weaker than he to stop asking him to spar with them, as Raiden didn't mind killing in training, even after he served his prison sentence for the one. The reason for his relatively light sentence was because of his strength and his fierce loyalty to the Soul Society. He was getting restless and was irritated at the Royale decree. Then he heard rumors. One Kenta Takeshi was spreading doubt and deception. From his own research, Raiden knew his theories had no basis, but the fact that he was trying to right what was wrong appealed to him.

Raiden later found out that most of his followers were vizards and most were captain class or close to it. Later on, he started feeling strange, like there was another soul within him. He ignored it and concentrated on attaining bankai to better help this vizard when the time came. Fifteen years later, when he was technically in his mid 50s, he finally achieved bankai, though that strange feeling was constant now. After asking several of the vizard in Soul Society how they became a vizard, and how they found out they had an inner hollow, Raiden did some investigating into his own soul to find out what was happening…

He went to a secluded spot and meditated. He found out what was wrong all right, he found an albino version of himself arguing with his zanpakutou spirit. After breaking them up, he starting talking to his inner hollow, a more sadistic version of himself. The next day, when he awoke, there was a host of shinigami around, a few he recognized as vizards. He felt different though, more powerful. He clawed at his face, summoning a hollow's mask, surprising himself and everyone around him. "Who would've thought? Other vizards had to fight and conquer their inner hollows, I made mine realize we had the same goal and compromised. What the hell happened to me during the day?" He desummoned his mask and awaited an answer.

After becoming a vizard, he actively supported Kenta. He still considered himself among the weaker vizards. The inferiority complex towards them and the normal captains bothered him even more. Raiden wanted to stay and support Kenta, but he also wanted to enhance his powers and do some good while he was at it. The sheer boredom of everyday life was also getting to him. He decided it was best if he left.

After leaving a note declaring where his loyalties were as well as his intentions, Raiden stole a soul phone and left to the world of the living, satisfying his boredom, finding out possible threats to Soul Society, and getting stronger…

RP Sample: Raiden walked into the warehouse, interrupting a drug meeting. He smiled as a dozen or so guns pointed at him. His sword was clearly visible on his hip. Unbeknown to the dealers, there were two hollows above them ready to chow down.  Rai grinned and didn't move. Soon, the two hollows gobbled up the men, who didn't even fire a shot at the child. "Done now?" Raiden drew his sword and held it at a 45 degree angle with his hip, with both hands.

"You're a cocky one. Children with strong spiritual pressures like you tend to be tastiest!" One of the hollows lunged at him, only to be cut down in an instant. The vizard was now side by side with the other hollow.

"So, are you much stronger?" The boy giggled and used shunpo again, slicing the thing in half. "Aww, that was a bore, I was hoping they were holding back. Guess I better trust my senses a bit more…" Raiden withdrew his sword and calmly left the vicinity. He sensed more hollows coming out. "Oh look! More fun!" The boy said to no one and shunpoed off to fight them. The hollows were going to be boring he knew, but at least they were more than what he had right now to play with.

Side notes: As said before, he tell one's tier with just a glance, but also with energy based attacks. Just reemphasizing that.

Updated Rai's character flaw in weaknesses, and updated the Full Vizard form, seperating the boosts from the abilities and being more specific with those boosts. Only thing I really changed on the boosts was his cero was upgraded from x1.5 to a full double the power.
