Big Enough For One

Laughing is what could be heard that night in the far corner of Los Noches, the wind carried the voices and laughs through ruins which have once been forgotten, but now a home to Hayato Hibiki and his followers. "DANCE!" Hayato shouted as he had some of his follows play music and the others dance and drink with him. They were not merely obeying him, Hayato and those around him were having an enjoyable night for this was the celebration of the founding of a new home for all of them and the one they followed.

The night got late and the noise turned to silence as the followers slowly one by one turned in for the night, but Hayato accounts for all his follows and he awaited for those he sent out to scout the area to return. If this was to be his home he and some of he followers would need to know the surroundings are what lies near them as they sleep.

Hayato sat in his throne, and as the majority of his scouts came in to give their reports, he noticed three of them were not accounted for. "You!, Where are the other three? Its getting to late to be out especially not knowing what is out there." Hayato spoke in a stern voice, this made some of his followers nervous and some of the others were quite use to it. One of the eldest of the scouts spoke up and said, "One has reported that he would travel a little farther to the south, and would arrive ten minutes later then us, and as for the other two. One had not returned to report so we had sent another in her direction north to seek her out, he should return within the hour." the eldest said this with a monotonous tone for he knew he had done nothing to anger Hayato so there was nothing to fear.

Hayato knew there was something wrong right when the elder stated that one had failed to report, for his followers were properly taught structure and organization and those who have failed to report in the past have either been in trouble not allowing them to report or already dead for if they weren't they would wish they had been. The scout that went missing was named Anna, and the one that went searching for her was her elder brother Detril, they were close to Hayato, as they did not have anyone else when he found them.

Hayato stood as he looked and pointed at the elder again sternly saying, "You will stay awake and stand by this door till the scout that went farther south returns home, then when he does you will then wake four others to begin there night shifts before you go to sleep....." Then looking to the nearby window he stated in a calm voice, " then these doors will remain shut till I return... I will go find them."
The scouts looked surprised with reason as they would usually not see him leave from his comfort, but all bowed as they agreed and then left the room, all but the elder who then stood by the door to wait for the last scouts arrival home.

Hayato stopped next to the elder scout as he was about to leave, "If I do not return in thirty days you will then elect by duel the next one who will lead, ... of course kill those that will not care for the majority of our group." The elder turned and bowed as Hayato left and stayed bowed till he was out of sight within the dessert night and the blowing sands.

Hayato walked quite a ways, he could only go by direction as the winds have gotten rid of any trace of steps. North was all he knew so he continued to walk till then he could just barely feel there presences in the distance for his pesquisa was not known to be the best, he then flared his spiritual pressure up to 80% of his max for not even a second, then lowered it back down to almost nothing. This was to just let them know he was nearby if they would come to him he would wait and see, if not he would have to make his way to them. He would not do it again for he did not wish to be found by anyone but them.

King Anrgrim of los noches, hueco mundo and the lands surrounding sat on his throne in the central tower of las Noches. The world of the living was ripe for the picking, but he felt no desire to attack. There was no fun in picking on the coalition when they had their hands fun, and the gotei were also to busy to pose much resistance. Arngrim wanted to conquer, but he also wanted a fight. Though once, he might just have wanted to Kill. Maybe he'd grown soft, but as several failed attempts on his life had proven, he had not grown weak.

The Cero king imagined he was going to have a boring day, until he felt it. A Powerful burst of energy, that lasted just a second. But nothing escaped his notice, his Sensing to powerful not to pick up on that. He pushed himself to his feet. There was an intruder to the south. "You, Send 6 of the Espada and their followers to the south, but tell them to keep a wide birth of anyone they see. Tell them not to stop till they reach Las noches' wall, and have them come back Directly towards my Energy signature. If they find anyone, they are to take them to me alive. "

The arrancar attendant nodded and rushed out of the room. And Arngrim made his way to the stables, where his war chariot waited. The king of Hueco mundo climbed on, and whipped the horse like hollows into motion, traveling across the sands at high speeds. He travelled for a while before he noticed a disturbance and brought the chariot to a light speed.

Ahead, two young arrancar were surrounded by Hollow, who dogged after them, trying to devour them and take their power. However all of them stopped to watch as Arngrim brought the chariot to a stop, and stepped down. Hollow watched him with savage desire and absolute fear, torn between the offer of power and the threat of death. They knew him, there was no mistaking a king.

He looked at the largest, who had one of the arrancar under its massive fist, holding him down. With a step, he was on the opposite side of the hollow, sword drawn, a drop of blood falling onto the sand. He turned around, pointing his Long sword towards the hollow, as its arm exploded in blood and fell away. "You should all run." He said, smiling savagely. And they did, scattaring in all directions away from him. He sheathed the sword back at his hip, next to an axe.

A second sword could be seen on his other hip, though unlike his Zan this blade appeared much more valuable. He turned to the two arrancar. "Who are you, and why are you in my Domain without my permission?" He demanded from them.

(those espada are just Npc place holders, not actually characters. dont worry about it.

Anna looking from up from the ground where she collapsed in fear, with tears in her eyes could only watch as the other hollows came closer to her ready to devour her as they wish and as they beat her brother Detril till he had no fight left in him. The other hollows then moved away from Detril as the largest appeared, only to grab his head with one hand sinking him farther into the ground he didn't scream or let out any sounds of pain, he just stared as if he was going to kill the hollow, that is all he could do that's what he was trained to do even if he couldn't win. He hadn't had much training for he just reached the age of training for that group, and his younger sister wasn't even close to that yet.

However his eyes shifted slightly as he could feel the presence of one a lot stronger appearing in the distance he could easily notice that the other hollows had noticed him too as they all stopped any sort of movement they did have. Anna either didn't notice or didn't care as she had been too scared, but as the arrancar stepped off his chariot, Anna calmed down noticing that the hollows feared him, and as he then attacked the hollow that held her brother she smiled. Detrill on the other hand seemed to show a lot more fear then what he showed the hollows.

Detrill staggering as he attempted to stand, knew this didn't make the situation any better, this arrancar held a very similar presence as their master Hayato, and they don't tend to mix well with the same kind. Anna standing to run towards her brother immediately halted about 5 feet behind Detrill when he yelled, 'Stay back there Anna!" He himself didn't wish to be anywhere close to his saviour, because he knew his saviour could easily become there end.

Anna didn't quite understand but she obeyed her brother, she always had in the past and respected him, she had no reason not to obey him. Detrill looked the man up and down as he turned towards them demanding, '"Who are you, and why are you in my Domain without my permission?"". Anna still didn't really understand as they were travelers and had never had the issue of being in someone else's domain before as Hayato usually dealt with anyone outside of the group. Detrill remained silent for a short while, using what ever time he had to think of a way to say something without angering this man but without dishonouring himself or those around him, moments later, "We are but traveller's that seek to find ourselves our own domain, we travelled here without knowledge of domains and those who may own them, we follow our master and our master makes us his family in return." He would remain silent till a reply was made or a question was asked, he didn't wish to expose himself or anything he knew without having too.

As time passed for Hayato, his walk became a jog for he felt a couple of times the two scouts presences almost disappear but his jog came to a halt when he felt another arrancars presence, he hasn't felt a presence like this in a long time and the last time it almost killed him. Now he knew it wasn't a matter of being found or not, now it was a matter of interest. Could he peek the interest of this arrancar enough to possibly be interested in leaving the two scouts alive to see what's coming to pick them up. He let his tattered robe fall off his shoulders to his waist allowing all the scars on his body to be revealed and let his white wings fully extend, he then just began to walk forward as he flared his spiritual power again, the arrancar should at least be curious in why he could feel power because Hayato's pressure reacted differently then most it is very large but doesn't feel as if weight has been added but as if it was reduced.

Hayato would no longer rush, as he knew if he rushed or not if the arrancar wanted them dead they would be dead, he would just have to hope he would keep his interest in waiting for someone more worthy of his time.

Anna then began to cheer up a bit more as time went on, and Detrill did the exact opposite, he began to become more nervous, as they both began to feel there masters power she felt secure but he became nervous for what was about to unfold when these to powerhouses meet.

Arngrim listened to the boy and frowned. "Your master seeks a domain of his own? Does he dare challenge the king of hueco mundo? This is Las Noches, you desire to squat in, the centre of my power. It is one thing to hide away in the vast sands of hueco mundo, but to seek a home in Las noches without my permission? That is foolish." Arngrim could feel their master now, no longer hiding his power to draw Arngrim's attention from the man's Minions. It seemed he cared for these two, if he was so keen to draw Arngrim's attention from them. That was something Arngrim understood as he had a daughter he would do anything to protect, even if she was a rogue who liked to protect humans instead of eat them.

"Well then, lets go meet your master." He said to them. "Get on the chariot, now." He ordered, his tone suggesting that it would be unwise to disobey him. If they did disobey, he would wrench the boy up off the ground by his throat, and take the girl by the arm more gently. He had a soft spot for arrancar who reminded him of his daughter, though that didn't mean he wouldn't have trouble killing her if he needed to. He mounted the chariot and whipped it into motion.

He closed the distance to their master quickly, the chariot could reach speeds of 240mph if travelling in a straight line, and didn't need to stick solely to the ground. It could fly, or more precisely ride the particles of reiatsu in the air, much like airwalking. He reigned the chariot in, grinding to a stop 50ft from the young arrancar's master. Dismounting, he took a good hold of both arrancar and approached the man, face dark as he watched his challenger, if that was what he was.

"I believe these belong to you." Arngrim said. He released the girl, and nodded for her to Join her master. He kept a good grip on the boy's arm though. "I will hold onto this one, until you explain why you are hiding in my fortress. If you can give me a good enough reason, I will spare you all." He didn't draw a sword, his physical size suggested that he did not need a weapon to crush the boy to dust without the slightest of effort. And he really could.

Detrill did not reply as he did not know, he didnt know much of Hayatos' intentions, but what he did know as he thought to himself, 'My master does  not challenge others, they challenge him. He just does as he pleases when he wants, that is why most of us follow him." Then as his thought ended the arrancar commanded the two to enter his chariot to go meet Hayato, they didn't really have any other choice and out of all possibilities Detrill knew that going towards their master would be the best choice for Anna and himself anyway. Detrill then called over, "Come Anna, we will go to Hayato, listen to him for now." Even tho after saying that he was frustrated as he did not like to listen to any ones' order but his masters.

As they both entered the chariot Anna clinged onto Detrill as she said, "Will we be going home soon?" Detrill then looked down saying, "Probably not for awhile Anna." as they traveled Detrill watched and observed everything he could from the two blades and axe, to how his chariot traveled, and the build of his back. He didn't want to miss anything he could possibly use later. As the sight of Hayato became more apparent, Anna smiled and became cheerful, but again this only stressed Detrill but now he was lost more in thought then anything else as he could see on his master what he has never seen before. The vast amount of scars all over Hayatos' body shook Detrill, thinking back as he never actually thought of the damage his master took to overcome the enemies of those that followed him, or the wounds he gathered protecting them or being betrayed by them.

Suddenly the chariot stopped about 50 ft away for Hayato, Detrills attention came back to present time as he then watched as he let Anna go, that was a relief all on its own even tho he was not released himself. He could feel as the arrancar griped his arm tightly and knew that he might not be so lucky but he was happy enough that his sister had returned to Hayato even while he was in pain himself.

As Anna traveled away after the nod from the arracar, she thought to herself, "He doesn't seem so bad.." but she hesitated as she realized her brother wasn't coming, she stopped about half way between Hayato and the other arrancar and looked back.

Hayato knew as they came closer things would become interesting but he wasn't the type to look for conflict and definitely not in the presence of those he knows and cares about. He knew he would have to be careful, but he wasn't the type to throw away his pride either. As they came to a stop about 50 ft away from him he lowered his wings and covered them and his chest and shoulders again with his tattered robe, he doesn't like the people he cares about to see his body and avoids it most of the time, Anna and the elder were the only ones that have seen his scars in the past, so Anna was not surprised by them. He lowered his presence back to  what it would usually be, he did not wish to try and agitate or intimidate the arrancar that brought him Anna and Detrill, but he knew he would not just hand them over either.

As the arrancar dismounted from his chariot and said, "I believe these belong to you." Hayato slight nodded then said, "They do not belong to me.. but they do follow me yes, in return I give them freedom. They belong to no one." The man nodded for the girl to return, Hayato was surprised slightly by these actions and more cautious if anything because it was different then most.
He would not complain, as Anna came forward he noticed her stop and look back to her brother, "Anna, it will be fine, come here." She then continued to go towards Hayato and stood by his side slightly behind him.

Hayato was not surprised that he did keep Detrill tho, he would not just hand him over everything or what was the point of traveling to him. The arracar spoke and asked him first what his reasons for "hiding in his fortress". Hayato stated with a plain face, he did not taunt with a smile he would just stay plain, "I did not hide, I believe I do not have a reason to hide, all I have done is settled where I seemed fit, there was a structure that was out of use from anybody else so I put it to use. No reason to waste, it is the same as a royal throwing "his" bread to the garbage and a peasant eating what was too be wasted. Except I am no peasant.'
He looked to Detrill, then looked to Anna then looked back up to the arrancar, " I will find a decent shelter for those who follow me, I do not care if it is here or elsewhere, there is no reason for me to stay here, neither do I really want to if it will cause more pains for them then what is needed. Release the boy so we can be on our way. We will leave "your domain" after I have gathered the others. I will allow you to cause me pain if you wish as payment but again, release the boy."

Arngrim watched him carefully, sneering as he spoke. "You entered into this blue skied dome, a place created by Aizen for his espada, and you didn't think to look for a ruler to this place? Its all well and good that you would take up residence in this land, but you did not make your intentions known to me, and that seems suspicious. I have little time for powerless fools who try to undermine me, and even less for challengers who stand no chance."

Arngrim considered the man, then he released the boy. "You are not leaving so easily, but I will not harm your people, nor will my espada." He gestured towards the south, behind the man, where his espada appeared, with his group in hand, bound and captive. "You seem to have a large group, but I have a vast army. And I can always use more." Arngrim said. He drew his sword Tyfing, the blade that shined. It was not his Zanpakuto, but it was a fine weapon capable of cutting easily through the hierro of arrancar, and it also enhanced his cero.

"I am Arngrim Wolfcloak, king of hueco mundo. I can see the pride burning in your eyes, so I give you a choice you can't possibly refuse. Prove yourself to me in combat, and I will allow you and your people free passage in this place. You can live in those ruins, or take a place in one of Las noches' many towers, excluding mine of course. I will even offer you a place among my council, as an espada or other officer. Fail, and you die, though I will deliver your people safely to the menos forest. Or decline. Walk away, but you'll be leaving alone." He kept his blade raised, and waited for the man's response.

Hayato chuckled slightly as he heard the words "powerless fools" come for the arrancars' mouth, he remained silent as he was in no position to speak yet. Which was probably wise as he then released the boy, the boy then attempted to return to his sisters' side right beside Hayato. This had instantly relieved some of the stress that Hayato had felt till the arrancar then said, ""You are not leaving so easily, but I will not harm your people, nor will my espada." Hayatos' head just sagged down as he sighed, the arrancar did not even have to signal before Hayato already knew what had happened. The arrancar drew his weapon as he continued to speak, Hayato was more annoyed if anything at this point. He was offered a deal, either he proves himself in battle and they can all leave or he could take a officer position, or he can leave and leave those he cares about behind. Hayato then spoke after awhile, "As of now I have no interest in your officer position as I will always do as I wish when I wish, I'm the one who orders I do not take orders... but I will prove myself as what I want right now is for them to be free, as a condition a ask that we relocate."

Hayato didn't wish to fight but he did wish for there freedom, if he had to fight he would not do so infront of them. He has hidden his scars, his past, and has kept them safe many times before without them seeing him in battle, if he could avoid doing so he would. But it was also the fear of his own abilities and the fact that he would not be able to hold back against him, he didn't wish to get them caught in the crossfire.

He did not like the idea of sending the ones he cared about back into danger but it was the best option at the time, as he looked to Anna and Detrill he then said, "Go to the others, no one will hurt you" Anna hesitated to leave but as Detrill began to walk he pulled her along with him. Hayato then looked back to the arrancar and stated, "You better keep your word."

Arngrim waited for the man's response. "Very well, if you succeed we will discuss the terms." Arngrim let him send his followers back. Arngrim gestured for his own followers to move away from him, along with Hayato's men. It would be dangerous to stand to close to a fight between Arngrim and someone who was as strong as one of the higher espada, none of which were here. Arngrim half grinned but his eyes were dark. "I always keep my word. A man is nothing but a cur without Honor." He responded.

"I assume you are prepared? Use your Resurrection if you wish, you will need it against me." Arngrim said. As soon as the man was prepared, Arngrim let out a war cry and lunged towards his foe, Tyrfing in hand. He slashed for the arm of his opponent. Tyrfing was a special sword with many inherent abilities, on such being a telekenetic link between the sword and Arngrim. It allowed him to Adjust the path of the blade just enough, that if one were to try dodge without moving well away from the blade, they would end up being hit. With Tyrfing, there was no near misses.

Arngrim slashed a few more times in a criss cross pattern, putting a good portion of strength behind his swings. He wasn't trying to kill the man, but it would be nice to make him atleast respect Arngrim's strength. He understood Arrancar nature. They could be bull headed and stubborn, but many respected their betters, even if they occasionally tried to kill them. At the very least the most stubborn were smart enough to fear their betters enough to not betray them.

Hayato didn't wish to fight but he was happy when he saw the arrancar command that distance to be made between them, he would slightly nod his head to the notion to show his respect. The arrancar then asked and stated, ""I assume you are prepared? Use your Resurrection if you wish, you will need it against me."" Kairu took a moment to wait for the other groups to distance themselves slightly farther before he removed his robe to reveal his scars and wings once more. He kept his wings in towards his back, he was not foolish enough to show them off just the have the cut off, he stood with black leather pants and a chalice around his neck, he would then summon from this chalice four low rank hollows with no mind of there own. Since he was given the time he would also as the 4 hollows stood behind of him they stood 6' tall with them behind him Hayato would then take the time to generate an excessive amount of blood and slight amount of riatsu towards his upper body chest area. These hollows would remain behind him.

"I'll use it when it is needed, I can't show all my tricks at once just yet."
A war cry came from the arrancar as he then lunged towards Hayato his sword aimed for his arm, Hayato would then draw his blade to block the incoming blade, he would put his left palm on the back of this blade to absorb the blow, more slashes followed in a criss cross shape. Hayato was being pushed back, "Come" he would say quietly, and one of the four hollows would then jump in front of him.

This hollow would be destroyed but he would use it, he brought both of his feet up then leaped off its back to distance himself about 10 ft away from the arrancar. He would not be brought down with his the arrancars first swings, but it did bring fear back into the equation.

Arngrim shook his head as the man summomed four hollow, as if they would change the face of the battle somehow. He ended up killing one as the man jumped away. In response, he slashed the air with his sword, a ball of fire half the power of a cero firing at Kairu. He fired three more at the man, aiming at his next location as he moved. Arngrim's main goal was to reduce the man's back up to nothing, given that one of those fireballs would easily destroy one of those hollows.

After his barrage of fire balls there was a crack of sonido as he moved to engage Kairu again, Slashing at the man's off hand, weakening that would reduce his ability to block Arngrim's powerful blows. He two handed the weapon and slashed horizontally at the man's waist, if it met steel he would stop the attack and thrust the blade forward suddenly, aiming to skewer the arrancar.
