Basic Information

Name: Krosis

Sex: Does not identify with either gender
Personality: Little is known about the personality of Krosis, it might not have one at all. The only interaction that anyone has had with it is battle. With this regard it is known to be a ruthless killing machine, much like its kin. An interesting thing that has been noted is it appears to have some kind of sadistic programming inside it that seems to need to torture, as well as simply destroy. It completes its objectives with an emotionally-detached single-track mind. It is not deterred by ethical conflict, cost of life(except itself), or respect for the rights of others. It believes in the ends justifying the means, but will stop short of sacrificing itself.

Since returning to Asenda Prime after the first altercation on Earth, Krosis has been refitted according to the data that was retrieved by both itself and the other 2 units that took part in that first incursion. It has become much more cerebral in its approach, as it has been influenced by its new tech and abilities. Krosis can assemble a small army of thralls, but cares not for any misfortune that befalls them. It also gained the ability to absorb victims and essentially become them by mimicking their neural patterns and possessing their knowledge. This kind of abuse has also given it a kind of minor multiple-personality disorder. When not in the guise of someone else, Krosis will sometimes unknowingly display traits of absorbed beings, all of them negative traits of course.

Krosis is one who believes in the complete superiority of machine over organic. It does not take any kind of pride in this, however, and it does not possess ego. It considers this to simply be a fact of the universe. However, Krosis does not have the capacity to become overconfident or cocky. If it is outmatched it will know it, and act accordingly. It displays contempt and arrogance towards organic lifeforms, and harbors an exceptional hatred for Serena Das’Ana, for her defection to the human side. Krosis will not stop at the traitor though. The human world must fall, for it is an affront to the perfection of the Serion.

Character Appearance


Height: Most common form's height is 8' 5”
Weight: Weight varies depending on condition and/or form taken
Physical Traits: In the form it usually assumes, Krosis is humanoid in shape. It has long lethal-looking limbs, and its skeletal body only adds to its fear-inducing appearance. The head of Krosis is partially sheathed in a layer of the metallic substance that it is made of, so that it looks almost hooded. Instead of eyes and nose there is only a curved visor-like device that constantly glows red.

Fighting Style


General Fighting Style: Krosis usually adopts a strategy that plays to its strengths. It speeds around the battlefield trying to avoid damage while using its morphing abilities to inflict as much damage as possible as quickly as possible. It will use any and every underhanded tactic it can think of, not caring for rules or honor. It will throw its Enslaved minions at the enemy, using them to delay until it can Assimilate someone. Then, it will work in tandem with the drone, until the enemy is defeated. If the battle goes ill for them, Krosis will not hesitate to sacrifice the drone to preserve itself.

Strengths:
Speed – Krosis is deceptively fast for its size. Its strikes are like lightning. In particular, it can form weapons with horrifying speed.
Durability – Krosis can take a tremendous amount of punishment before it's in trouble.
Stamina – Krosis’s power-transfer system has been modified to make up for its lack of power output. As a result its physical combat maneuvers take far less energy than those of its compatriots, allowing it to go further despite its disadvantage.
Stealth – Krosis has now been outfitted for infiltration into the human world using data gathered from the first incursion. It now has superior stealth potential, rivalling (possibly even surpassing) that of Serena Das’Ana. It can suppress its already small power level to nothing, making it undetectable by sensing.

Weaknesses:
Sensing – Krosis cannot detect spiritual pressure, only energy signatures (like what an engine or another robot might give off). Keeping track of multiple opponents is not easy for it.
Power Output – Krosis outputs the least amount of energy out of the machines involved in the original incursion. Most of its energy production is geared toward movement and shape-changing, rather than fighting. If it fires off too many energy shots, it will drain quickly.
Armor – Krosis does not wear armor as it would interfere with its morphing abilities.
No Nova Mode - Krosis has no Nova Mode as it lacks the power output necessary.
Underpowered - Krosis is a relative weakling as it is an extremely specialized unit, almost entirely dedicated to infiltration and subterfuge. As a result, despite its actual tier it counts as being 5 tiers lower in actual power. This puts it at roughly the same tier as its minions. The only exception is its durability and the strength of its Explosives, which remain as if they were at its tier.

Weapons and Abilities


Normal Form


Ability/Weapon Name: Mercurial Structure
Description: Krosis's main weapon is its shape-shifting abilities. It can form its hands and arms into various martial implements (for example swords, axes, clubs, etc.), all with the same properties as the material that all of the machines are made from. It can also form gun-like growths anywhere on its body in order to use the other powers on this list. Another facet of this weapon is Krosis's ability to morph any part of itself into a mercury-like liquid form. It can then become solid again in whatever shape the liquid ends up in. In liquid form Krosis is exponentially harder to physically damage. However, it still takes the normal amount of damage from any energy attacks (this includes fire, lightning and any other elements that are deemed to be energy) or explosive ordnance. Krosis can morph its entire body but it can only remain in complete liquid form for a very limited time (2 posts) before it must solidify again to retain cohesion. However, it can retain liquid limbs and extremities indefinitely. Krosis cannot inflict very much damage with liquid limbs, so it usually sticks to morphing into weapons. Oddly, its red visor-like device on its head retains its glow and color in liquid form. This ability also allows Krosis to disguise itself as any metallic object that it has seen. This can range from lamp-posts to cars to trash cans. Also, if any part of Krosis is severed by a physical attack, such as a sword, the severed part will revert instantly to liquid and attempt to rejoin the main mass. This ability does not require energy, so can be done at any time.

Ability/Weapon Name: Organic Disguise
Description: Krosis can alter the pigmentation of its “skin”, as well as form clothing from the matter it is made from. It can alter the molecular structure of its body to create the near-perfect illusion of soft clothing and skin. The illusion even simulates blood and circulatory functions. The only way to detect its true nature is to cut right through a limb or other extremity. The severed piece instantly reverts to a liquid-metal state and attempts to rejoin the main being.

Ability/Weapon Name: Identity Theft (RP Ability)
Description: Part of Krosis’s refit involved finding a way to not only infiltrate, but to gather information and security clearances as quickly and efficiently as possible. The results of this endeavor is Krosis’s ability to effectively “replace” people in enemy organizations. To do this, Krosis selects a target and envelopes them in its liquid metal body, essentially consuming them. Krosis then assumes their exact physical appearance, down to the finest detail, including power signature. It also possesses the victim’s knowledge and memories, along with the ability to match the person’s speech pattern. This makes Krosis an extremely potent infiltration unit. Once it absorbs a pattern, it can store the data indefinitely, and use that form at any time. Works on NPCs only.

Ability/Weapon Name: Enslave
Description: Krosis has an ability to “infect” an organic being with a cybernetic virus. To administer this, Krosis forms a pair of small epidermal tubules. It then injects the victim with a microscopic amount of its liquid metal. The virus immediately enters the cerebral cortex via the host’s blood. Result is total control of the infected individual. The victim also has his/her physical abilities enhanced, to the point that any organic victims count as being 5 tiers below Krosis, with average speed and strength. The control lasts for up to 5 posts, or until Krosis releases control itself. At that time, the virus self-destructs, instantly killing the host *bloodmist*. This ability only affects NPCs.

Ability/Weapon Name: Assimilate
Description: Krosis can also “assimilate” a being, injecting the victim with a number of nanoprobes. The nanoprobes immediately begin to infect the victim’s internal systems. The injection also contains a powerful paralysing agent, rendering him/her immobilized for a post. In this time, the victim undergoes a dramatic transformation. Cybernetic implants grow all over the body, taking over control from the victim’s own vital systems. After the post, the victim regains its movement however, it is now under the complete control of Krosis. Any form of identity or individuality is absorbed into Krosis. The new being is completely emotionless and merciless, becoming essentially a mindless automaton with no will of its own. The implants that form all over it enhance this “drone” to an incredible degree. It counts as 3 tiers below Krosis, with above average speed, strength and durability. The drone also has armor equivalent to average hierro, and an arm-mounted plasma cannon that is identical to Krosis’s Energy Shots in functionality. Krosis can only make one per thread, having to retreat and regenerate in its alcove to regain the nanoprobes but it remains in control of the drone until it or the drone dies. Krosis can relinquish control at any time, resulting in the drone simply shutting down. It is possible to try to remove the implants and nanites, but it is a very difficult task that should only be tried by the best minds in cybernetics. This ability can affect PCs with permission from their owners. If the infected individual is higher in tier than Krosis, then they remain at their tier.

Ability/Weapon Name: Alloy-Synthesis
Description: Krosis can absorb metal that it can touch. The exceptions are the weapons of other people’s characters. The result is Krosis’s nanite healing goes into overdrive, healing him far faster than before. Any body parts that have been blown off and cannot be retrieved, will heal over the course of 3 posts. Krosis cannot use this in Low-Power Mode, and it cannot be used more than once at a time, i.e. it can absorb a metal, and heal one missing limb over the course of 3 posts, but cannot do it again until the 3 posts are up.

Ability/Weapon Name: Energy Shots
Description: Krosis can fire an energy shot from any gun-like growth it forms. The shots vary in intensity with the appropriate cool-downs.

Bala: No cool-down (5 per post)
Cero: No cool-down (1 per post)
Gran Rey Cero: 3 post cool-down
Cero Oscuros: 4 post cool-down

Ability/Weapon Name: Explosives
Description: Krosis carries an inventory of explosives to cause some damage once it is in position. It has a varied armory to call upon, but the amount is limited due to energy cost. The devices are carried in Krosis’s dimensional storage, and it possesses a large supply. The devices are then powered and armed by Krosis’s own energy reserve. It can produce one fully armed device per post, and the device can be thrown or planted. They are detonated by a single command from Krosis’s central processor. However, if the device is disabled/destroyed before being detonated, it will not explode and will be rendered useless.

Type 1: Smoke Grenade
This grenade is used for distraction/concealment. On detonation it creates a thick blanket of smoke in a 20 yards radius around it, lasting for 2 posts. Reiatsu sensing is unaffected, and thermal/heat sensors work as normal. 1 per post. 3 post cool-down.

Type 2: Fragmentation(Frag) Grenade
This grenade is made for clearing weak and unarmored enemies. They explode in a radius of 10 yards with the damage of a cero, but with virtually no armor penetration. 1 per post. No cooldown.

Type 3: High-Explosive(HE) Grenade
This grenade is a stronger version of the Frag Grenade. Blast radius is 20 yards and damage is Gran Rey Cero. 1 per post. 3 post cooldown.

Type 4: Plasma Grenade/Charge
This grenade is made for breaking down tough targets. It can penetrate up to strong armor, but not hierro. It can be set to explode in a single direction, ideal for destroying doors and the like without Krosis risking damaging itself. Blast radius is 20 yards, and damage is 2 cero. 1 per post.

Type 5: Electromagnetic Pulse(EMP) Grenade
This grenade does not cause physical harm, but the pulse will disable all electrically-powered devices and gadgets in a 20 yard radius. The effect lasts for 3 posts. Krosis is shielded from the effect of its own EMP grenades, Because of the power needed for this device, Krosis can only use 2 per thread with a 5 post cooldown in between.

Type 6: Tricobalt Explosive
This is Krosis’s go-to device for causing catastrophic damage to targets. The device will explode with a blast radius of 200 yds. The damage is 3 Cero Oscuros, and it will overcome almost all Hierro and Armor. However, Krosis can only use it once and will automatically revert to Low-Power Mode once he arms it, and requires 1 post to charge before it can be detonated. Also, unlike the other explosives, the device will give out a large and noticeable power reading that all but the most useless sensors will detect.

Backdrop


Background:
Krosis is essentially nothing more than a sentient weapon. It was built to be such, and it has always fulfilled its role with brutal efficiency. Krosis was built in the early days of the Valarion Xenocide, a war that had started when the Serion turned on their creators, the Valarion. It was instrumental in the downfall of the Valarion race, infiltrating their installations and providing intel to its masters in the Arc Mechanicus. Afterwards, Krosis was put into storage, its existence classified. It became a horror story told to the citizenry in Asenda Prime to keep them in line. Fear pervaded all as the citizens became afraid that Krosis was near, ready to punish miscreants. It would not be seen again until the Serion race found a new land to conquer.

In the meantime, even in storage Krosis was in effect. It had assumed control of a scientist Serion, and used it to interact with the world. The scientist was recruited by another Serion, known as Serena Das’Ana, to help her build a Serion of her own. Serena was one of the Originals, those that were created directly by the Valarion. The Valarion were the original creators of the Serion, but were all killed in a war that started when their creations turned on them. The scientist helped to create the new Serion, called Rathia Das’Ana, as ordered. However, unbeknownst to Serena, Krosis commanded its drone to pollute the new creation with some malicious code, resulting in Rathia possessing none of the “weak” traits that Serena possessed, such as kindness. Rathia was cold, ruthless and efficient. Much like Krosis itself. Serena would not find out for some time about Krosis’s interference. However, Krosis would soon be unleashed again.

When a portal was accidentally opened to a new world, a planet known as Earth, the Arc Mechanicus decided to send a preliminary force through to gauge the resistance quotient of any civilisation that was there, as well as potential resources that could be gained. Krosis was released from storage, and outfitted for this mission. It along with two other units, Xeradul the Armored and Model III, were sent through to the new planet. Krosis was to travel to a remote location to try and find an ideal staging area for a potential offensive, while the other two engaged the human forces to assess their strength. The mission was a relative success. Though the two others were eventually destroyed, Krosis succeeded in reaching Antarctica undetected and, using parts salvaged from a human research station it neutralized, it managed to open a stable portal back to Asenda Prime, through which the Serion arrived through to construct the staging area for their impending attack.

Krosis was extracted and returned to the HQ of the Arc Mechanicus. Here, it received a major upgrade and retrofit, while the data that had been collected from their mission was uploaded to the main servers, to be dissected and examined. Its retrofits turned it into an unrivalled stealth unit. It could disguise itself far better than before, as well as turn enemies into minions for its own purposes. Word soon reached the Arc that Serena, Machine-Lord Kos-Mos’s trusted second-in-command, who had infiltrated the human Coalition in order to relay information to the Arc, had betrayed the Serion and joined the humans. Krosis was thus assigned. It was tasked with infiltrating the Coalition and determining the exact whereabouts of Serena. Kos-Mos would lead an attack on the Coalition’s New York HQ, giving Krosis an opportunity to disable Serena and return her to the Arc. Krosis thus went forth, to find the traitor.

Side Notes: I’m aiming for 1-1 purely so his minions will be worth a damn. His actual combat stats, except durability, will be as a 2-1.

I don't like Underpowered...it doesn't make much sense to me. I mean, it's fine...but...I'd rather you get rid of it completely or lessen the tier thing so it's not so severe. Especially since even Jun could take this guy on and win if it's at 1-1 as is, especially since it has no Nova Mode. Speaking of, does that mean he's at constant full power for his tier or that he's similar to Kaytlyn and just doesn't have a higher form?

Identity Theft: I don't like that it's indefinitely. I'd also like it to state that it's also player permission only and that its probing into the mind can be fought off and will be met with mixed success. I mean, someone like Jun will still succumb to it, although it would take a half hour or so, but Simon and Alex probably wouldn't, their will power is a bit tougher.

Gran Rey Cero: No cool-down (3 post cool-down)
Cero Oscuros: No cool-down (4 post cool-down)
What the hell is up with the No cooldown parts?

I don't think it's worth a 1-1. Personality and background being too short. However, you are up for several tier ups. As is, I can give you a 1-3 tops.

Well, the reason for it is I want his enslave/assimilate victims to be really good. He himself is meant to be puny, but just really hard to get to. He's supposed to be a subterfuge/infiltrate unit. He operates by manipulating others and using his minions. That's partially why I was hoping for 1-1. See, I want him to be relatively easy to beat once he is cornered, but he's just damn hard to corner.

Energy shots: I don't know what happened there. Fixed.

Identity Theft: Was meant for NPCs only. Put it in.

He just doesn't have a Nova mode. Nothing else changes.

One Nade per post seems a little limited. If thats what you want though...
