The Kartos prime incident. (Private)

Munich, Germany.

A man in a black suit lounged in a desk chain, holding an open file in his lap. He was reading recent information on the failed Assassin Darkblade. He scoffed, according to the information Darkblade had been not been a failure. The failure was on the head of the Overseer who killed Darkblades handler and caused him to go rogue. Still, the other Overseers wanted Darkblade dead before the Assassin decided to come for them properly.

Jack keller threw down the file and sighed. He'd much prefere to Take Darkblade alive and retrain him for obediance, but it wasn't going to be. Instead he'd agreed to test out Oblivion, Kartos prime's first Assassin to develope powers without going awol. Darkblade's sudden use of powers had sparked a revolution in how Karots prime made Assassins, and Oblivion was by far their strongest Asset now.

Jack pressed a button on his desk and sent a message to his secretary. "Tell the Other overseers I'm ready to move on Darkblade. I'll need all of their assistance in this, or it wont work." Jack said. Jack's plan was simple. Very dangerous, and the others probably wouldn't like it, but it was the only way to Lure out Darkblade to kill him. If the Assassin didn't think it was them, he wouldn't come.


three days later, Rome.

Kain paced slowly around one of the meeting rooms of the Vanguard's hidden base. He'd already made the calls to Yuri, and Parius. He hadn't liked asking his boss for help, but Kartos prime weren't people you should mess with unless you had lots of back up. He'd considered asking that vizard girl he'd seen around, but every time he tried to talk to her she ran away, and she was faster than the bossman.

Kain shrugged and brushed the thought aside. He walked back to the table and looked over the information his contacts in munich had given him. Kartos prime's overseers were meeting in person, and it was an obvious trap. Trap or not, Kain didn't want to throw away a chance to destroy the people who took Alice from him. He owed her their heads. Maybe then she'd leave him the hell alone.

Yuri got the call, time and place. When he got there...it was pretty sad. The place was waaayyy too easy to get into. He wore a grey suit and fedora. Black hair, silver color contact lens. He opened the door to find Kain pacing. "If Parry ever does what he sets out into doing...this place is getting a major security upgrade. Cuz damn that was too easy. Standard homes have better security now days." Yuri spoke with his normal voice so it would be clear it was him.

He sat down on one of the chairs. "Anyone else we're waiting on? I'm assuming this has to deal with those assassins that raised you..." Assassins...he's had his fair share come after him. And he's done a fair share of work as one himself. Kain was paying him though, and his slightly higher than normal fee too. It just better not be as bad as what his Hyper Intuition was thinking it will be...aw hell...who was he kidding...

"Of course it is. I just don't have the manpower at the moment. Besides, I doubt someone would be able to stay undetected for long" Parius said, as he teleported into the room, and deactivated his Ryu no Me. Parius nodded at Kain, and placed his hands on the table, seemingly tired. He wasn't wearing his usual samurai-influenced outfit, instead opting for a purple kimono, with black pants, and the usual Shinigami footwear. He also had his hair up in a high pony-tail.

"Now then. I'm not sure what is happening, but it must have been important, for you to call me, Kain. You don't exactly ask for my help everyday." Parius listened to Yuri talk. "Assassin's, eh? You mean like the ones that were there the first time we met? And I don't think anyone else is joining us, Yuri." Parius looked at Kain, curiosity burning in his blue eyes.

Yuri and Parius arrived around the same time. Yuri said something about security but Kain wasn't interested. And besides, walking around in here without being known was a bad Idea. Parius said somethings, then asked if it was the 'Assassins' from when they'd met. Kain shook his head. "No, they were only mercenaries, probably hired by one of the overseers to kill me. Clearly he was playing a practical joke because the Assassin retreival teams they usually send are allot tougher."

Kain pointed to a file on the desk. "That contains all the information I've gathered on Kartos prime over the years. There are 5 overseer's, each dealing with a single aspect of the assassin business, each using one training method in common. They all train us young, even the retreival and clean up teams. All five Overseers are gathering In munich for some kind of meeting. In reality, its an invitation, and a trap. They know I can see through such an obvious trap, and they know i wont show up unless i think its really them, thats how they trained me. They also know I'm a loner.. So they wont be expecting you." Kain explained all this pretty quickly, and let them take it all in before he continued.

"Its likely they'll have some dangerous people waiting for us, including allot of soldiers from the retrieval and clean up. You can also expect Assassins like myself, trained for close combat, and snipers.. I worked with a few before, and there is one in particular I dont fancy meeting." Kain was deadly serious too. He didn't feel fear but if he did, Dead Shot would inspire it. "We need to make a plan. The meeting is tomorrow so we dont have a large timeframe. I'm open to suggestions other than, run in swinging."

Parry scared the crap out of Yuri. So much so he actually turned, gun drawn, and fired at the guy...only to divert his aim at the last minute so that it wouldn't hit him. "Parry...do NOT do that again...you might end up with your brains scattered behind you..." Depending on the distance that is. Yuri took the file on the desk and started to read it as he listened to Kain. Five "Overseers", an army of clean up and retreival crews, and then assassins similar to Kain and snipers.....Yuri spoke in perfect Arabic. "F*ck my life." Hopefully, they weren't all just as strong as Kain.

Them not expecting both Yuri and Parius did little to settle down his Hyper Intuition. Then he heard the timeframe. "Tomorrow? I've had some time crunch missions before, but something like this? We're in Rome. Getting there will take a couple of hours. A couple more just to plan the attack. A couple more to find their meeting place and scout the area around. And even if they're advertising exactly where the meeting is...are you out of your mind? Don't answer that, I think we all know the answer to that. We'll be needing a bit more help to pull this off..."

He thought for a few seconds before throwing the file at Parius for him to read. He sighed heavily. Angel was far too busy right now. He didn't know with what. Unfortunately, he didn't have a whole lot of others to speak to or ask for help. "Of course...if you have most of the details already...it should be simple. All magic spells don't have a range limit. For weaker spells, they often hover for just a couple of seconds before firing, but move very fast. While moderate to more advanced spells there is a small warning via a magic circle. If they're not stunned at first, they'll get hit. As long as I know enemy locations and the building locations, I can easily eliminate most of them in one swoop. Hacking into a camera system would be best, and I can do that. But I can work with whatever is given to me. Snipers could be a problem though. My Hyper Intuition helps me with my evasion, but unless they fire, I won't know where they are. The alternative is just crushing the entire city. But I refuse to do that against a mostly civilian population. Chicago was infested with Hollow, and we minimized casualties there. There is no minimizing casualties here if I do that. I already have a nice big target on my back from the Arrancar...if they're even searching for me. I don't need another from the Coalition and shinigami..."

It was all he got for the moment. Unless some other things were said afterwards...

Parius barely flinched when Yuri shot at him. "It's my base, Yuri. You should be more prepared, seeing as I'm not the only person who can teleport. Plus, I was at my home, so I had to teleport here. It would've taken me hours otherwise." Parius then listened to Kain, looking at the file he flung down on the table. He then laughed at Yuri. "Getting to the city will take us a couple of seconds, actually. I can teleport us there. As long as I have been there before, we are all good. We can also plan pretty quickly, if need be."

Parius then read the folder, after Yuri was done, also listening to him explain his plan. Sighing, Parius closed the folder. "Your ideas is good, Yuri. How long would it take for you to get into position to actually start casting?" Parius then put his hand on his chin. "Just so you know, I don't do sneaking. Maybe, I can bust in the front door, and distract them until you both are ready. It's more of my expertise to fight head on." He crossed his arms, seemingly thinking. "Five Overseers, and assassins that are as strong as you. I'm not exactly worried, unless they start swarming me. I can't fight fifteen people at once, and I don't know anyone who can." Parius then fell silent, waiting for Kain and Yuri to speak.

Kain was about to answer Yuri's enquiry, but snapped his mouth shut and smirked. The man was worried about the time frame but he hadn't know about Parius' power. Of course he didn't follow Parius around like an aggressive puppy. "That cuts about 6 hours out of journey time." Kain said. "And actually, they did give the meeting spot. Its on the top floor of a tower building owned by a man named Jack Keller. I haven't heard the name before now, but I'm guessing he's the new overseer. They had to replace the last one I killed."

Kain listened to Yuri's idea and then nodded. "I'd agree blowing up the city is not the best idea." That remark probably got him questioning looks, considering he didn't give two shits about innocent people. If either man asked, he replied with, "Well there's no garantee we'll actually kill them all." Then he moved back to the subject at hand.

"I have the building marked on the gps on my phone. I suggest you do the same. As soon as parius is ready, we'll go and scout out the area. If we split up we can cover more ground and be discrete. Look for ideal sniper spots and map out the area, and then we can meet back at a set location, and get back here to start plotting a line of aproach to the building, and the general attack plan." He took out another phone and threw it to parius. "I've already marked down the building's location in that." He said. He then gave them a secure place to meet back up, which was ironically, a bar.

Yuri ignored Parry's little spiel. His base or not, he should have some type of warning for his teleportation. He did respond to the other bits. "Oh...well...that's handy. Ok then, that's one down. But did you not listen? I can start slinging spells from all the way here. Problems with that is the ridiculous delay and depending on where I try to form them, may not even work at all. Position means nothing in the Magical World. Only in combat does that apply." In which he was a combat mage. Not exactly in the purest sense like some people he knew, but he still fit that description. He then responded to Kain. "You'd think they would have at least tried to hide the fact that it's a trap. And I just said it was possible, not that it was an option in the first place." Yes, he's killed, stole, seduced (though not going too far), killed some more, kidnapped, interrogated, and almost everything in between, but he had to draw the line somewhere.

He responded again, networking his phone to Kain's and getting what he had. "Sounds good. Still doesn't give us a lot of time. I know you can handle yourself and everything, but it might be a good idea to change outfits. They are actively looking for you. Same with you, Parry. You don't have to necessarily sneak around. You'd be surprised what all you can achieve and scout out acting like a simple tourist. I can give you tips on that if you wish. Let me make a quick call to get my various disguise safehouses set up, and then let's go."

He made his call, speaking in perfect German. Definitely not his favorite of languages. But he was ready whenever they were now.

Parius listened to everything being said, and when they were done, Parius finally spoke up. "Then, it's settled. We teleport there, sneak around, and then strike. I am actually going to change. I'll be right back." Activating his Eye, then teleporting away, Parius changed into his battle wear. He then teleported back. The entire thing took about 5 minutes. Grabbing both Yuri, and Kain, Parius teleported them. Landing on a building, Parius immediately looked around, using his Ryu no Me to see if anything spiritually powerful was near them.

Satisfied nothing was there, he then looked out over Munich, Germany. "Been a while since I've been here..." He said, mostly to himself. Turning back to Kain, and Yuri, he waved. "See ya back here in 25 minutes." Parius then Shunpo'ed away. Landing on the top of another building, he started to watch the building in question, using his Ryu no Me. He could "see" spiritual energy inside, but without actually seeing anyone, that's all Parius could see. Sighing, he sat there, waiting until the time limit was up.

Kain shrugged. "I dont particulary care if they see me coming. Not that they will unless i want them to. As long as they dont notice you two it doesn't matter. Still.." Kain left the room and came back a few moments later in jeans and a leather jacket. He didn't have a hood, and it felt so unnatural to walk around with his face in full view. "I already hate this... Lets go." He said when everyone was ready.

They split up and kain took the streets letting the others do as they wanted. He circled the building once, checking out the surrounding buildings, then he climbed to the roof of a public building across from the one this fight would be going down with. The thing with snipers was they didn't have to be close, and someone like deadshot could perch anywhere within 1000 metres of this place and pose a significant treat.

He emerged on the roof and took the time to survey possible sniper spots. There were 3 other buildings they gave excellent perches for talented snipers. He took some wide shot pictures of each building, and marked them down in the gps on his phone. Then he checked out a few other spots that would make good perches for snipers, most much closer and shorter than the three he'd taken pictures of already.

He marked down the obvious areas, then he checked out the streets, and started to devise the best approach to the target building. The obvious thing to do was have parius warp them into the overseer's meeting room, but if that didn't work they needed a plan b. He concocted a plan of attack as he started on his way back to the others. They'd have some things to discuss now.

And they all scattered before him. He sighed. He hopped off the building and started acting like a tourist, taking note of routes, shortcuts, deadends, etc. He spotted Kain a few times and noted the places he was also checking out. Sniper locations. He looked at shops, alleys...the area around the building. He spent a bit more time to scout out the area, trying to find the best approach without being spotted by a sniper. Near impossible. But with help...it could be done.

He started back, changing into something more...unrecognizable. Chubby, different hair style, handle bar mustache...only his voice would actually reveal him. But he could just as easily change that too. He was about forty five minutes late. He sat his fatass next to Parry. "Well...it's not as bad as what I thought...but certainly could have been easier..." He spoke in his normal voice to let them know it was him. He first listened to Kain's and Parry's rundown. Then he did his own on the area.

It was then he saw someone walk in. It was woman with a tank top and short jean shorts. It was obvious she worked out, but not excessively so. She also carried a metal staff and had fingerless gloves. Yuri grinned and called out to her. "Hey, manwoman, join us."

She spun to face the group, clearly in rage. But then seemed to have calm down, realizing who it was that called out to her. "Girly man...you've gain weight...or is that a fat suit for something..." She grinned when Yuri flinched at the name. She waltzed on over, very sexily. She sat next to Yuri. She looked at the GPS markings. More quietly, she spoke. "Oh? Someone else wants Kartos Prime destroyed? Mind if we join forces?"

Yuri spoke up. "I can vouch for her. She won't be expecting payment...as it seems she's already getting paid by someone else. But she's someone I wouldn't want to fight on a daily basis. She fits the battle mage persona and description in the truest sense. She can give us a buff in our physical capabilities, in addition to her own, debuff anyone elses via a low leveled sealing spell and among other things."

He let it go at that and listened to the plan...

Parius spoke first, after everyone arrived. He didn't really pay attention to the woman. Anyone more would be helpful. "I managed to "see" spiritual energy in there. They must be pretty strong, for me to be able to see it without actually looking at them." He looked at Kain. "There were about five, so I'm guessing they are the Overseer's you keep talking about." He quickly looked back at the building, before continuing. "I didn't see any easy way into the building. We will have to get in some way. I've never been inside, so I can't teleport us into there either." He sighed.

"I noticed you marking things on this phone. I'm guessing snipers? I have no idea what they use, but I'm guessing we would have more cover inside. Now, about that." Parius got a funny little smile on his face. "I can make a pretty great distraction. One with a lot of boom to it. I'm going to say that if i do this, it might be able to distract them long enough for three little mice to sneak in, if you catch my meaning." Parius's eyes seemingly glowed in the night. He was eager for a fight.

Kain wasn't so trusting. He stood up and walked up to the new comer. "What greivence do you hold against Kartos? Why do you want them gone? Who sent you?" Kain could read people well enough to detect lies. If she was going to lie she would have to be very skillful to hide it from him. If she gave him truthful answers he would step back. "Very well, tag along if you want just dont get in the way or I will kill you, freind of chubs be damned."

Then he turned to Parius. "Likely sniper spots, but nothing definate. I wasn't thought much about identifying ideal perches, just the basics. It should be obvious I wasn't the long range kind of Assassin." He looked around. "This is probably not the best place to talk. We should head somewhere more private, or back to HQ." He didn't care where so he let one of them decide, as long as it was out of public.

At their new location Kain began to lay out a general plan. "I'm guessing the Building is full of assassins and general security. Obviously, I'm going in. Parius, you suggest staying out, that mean's your dealing with Deadshot. Finding him before he shoots one of us will be the biggest issue, so check the spots, look for any tall buildings If you dont find him in the places I said. Kill all the snipers you find too. I dont know what he's like in close quarters, but if you get to him he should be an easy kill."

Kain turned to Yuri. "Your with me." Kain said. He wouldn't have it any otherway. They might not be like minded, but he trusted Yuri more than anyone else in the room. Kain Then turned to yuri's freind. "I dont know your name... Back up Parius. They might have more than just snipers out here. Infact I can garantee they do. I doubt Deadshot will be alone.. After you take out any other high priority Targets, get back to us."

Anna sat back, amused by the man in front of her. "Absolutely nothin'. I could care less either way. Customer confidentiality. Like Yuri, I'm a mercenary. I get paid to do things a normal person can't do. Though I'm not a jack of all trades like he is, there are some missions I don't take, period. Extermination and decoy missions? Hell yes. Espionage and spy work? Hell no. I like messy missions. This one is gonna be messy. And I will revel in it." She gave him a toothy grin that pretty much said she meant every word. She laughed in his face about the threat. "You can try."

Both listened. At the talk about them taking this else where, Yuri looked at Anna. She cracked her neck, and tapped her foot. The area around them were distorted, a feint magic circle below them. "I have fewer battle spells than most spellcastors. But I also have some very neat out of battle ones too. No one can hear a thing outside of this circle. A private place to talk without being in a private place." Then Kain went on.

Yuri nodded. Kain kinda became his new partner. He hasn't had one fully since Ziggy died. Anna spoke when Kain was done. "I'm Annabell Munroe. When do we strike?" After getting that information, she disengaged the spell. Yuri went to the roof, as she joined him. "Interesting new partner. I liked your old one better. This one...seems completely different than you in mind set. Ziggy was at least similar."

Yuri nodded. "No one will replace him. He was my childhood friend. He even helped me train...even beat into me my Hyper Intuition. Still...this is gonna be messier than I'd like."

Anna grinned and left, looking for Parius. When she found him, she asked a question. "What sections you want? I'll take the other sections."

Parius .listened, disinterested as Kain, and Anna seemingly didn't get along. Yawning, he listened as he was paired up with the girl. He sat down, as he waited for the right signal to come in. "I don't think we need to worry about sections. All we need to do is create a distraction, right? Burn them to bones, Kuroi Kasai Ryū." Black flames appeared, and ran up the length of Parius's right arm. "I got a little something for them to deal with, while the others get into that building." Parius smiled, and held out his arm. A little dragon made of black flames appeared. "Think a lot bigger. When the time is right, then we strike." Parius closed his hand, and sat down. "Now, to play the waiting game."

A bemused look crossed Kain's face as Anna spoke. When she told him he could try he chuckled. "You are a blood thirsty woman. Trying to kill you sounds like only half the fun we could have." He listened through her and yuri's banter, then decided to speak. "Tomorrow night. So we've got time to prepare. Might do another sweep of the city, see if we spot anything different. Then we can go back to headquarters, well I guess you'll be going to where ever your staying unless Parius doesn't mind guests."

What ever the choice, the group would split up to do one more search of the city then meet back up and head off for preperation. Kain used the time they had before the big fight to go over all the intel they'd gathered. The next part was getting in and killing the overseers. That would be the fun part.
The Next Day, 11pm

The group gathered outside the building. The time of attack was upon them. Kain waited for the others to give the ok. He was buzzing with anticipation, the impending bloodshed was making him restless. This was going to be bloody, and he would love it. But it was also going to be dangerous. He didn't really care if he died. He didn't really care if any of the others died. He just wanted to live long enough to make sure Kartos died. "When everyone's ready, lets get this show on the road."

There wasn't much more intel to gather. Just some confirmation of sniper locations and some activity. Nothing more, nothing less. At least from what Anna and Yuri gathered.
 
~ The next Day, 11 pm~
 
Yuri stood next to Kain. He was mostly normal. Red eye color contacts, jeans, a long tailed jacket, black hair, black button up shirt, dark grey vest, dark blue tennis shoes. He sent the signal. "Once the second building explodes, we can move. I'm pretty sure those two will cause one hell of a ruckus." Now they just waited for Anna and Parry to do their thing...
 
~Anna~
 
She didn't much like seeing and imagining that black dragon thing. So impersonal. Anna did not like Parius at all because of his response. Oh well. She waited at the base of the first building she planned on destroying/turning its population to zero. She got the signal and she grinned. She rushed into the building with her metal staff, pummelling whoever got in her way. She found the snipers and clobbered them brutally. A gunshot rang out as she moved her head, scratching her cheek. She enhanced her speed, durability, and strength by double using the appropriate physical enhancement spells.
 
She also gave herself a tough hierro by using a Solidification spell, also solidifying her staff so that it can even match zanpakuto. The next shot didn't even graze her. She ran and jumped once onto a mage disc, then again at the origin of the shot, staff raised high, her maniac grin just starting. When she slammed into it, that part exploded. She rampaged through the building into a courtyard, where only a few were passing through to go after Parius and his black fire dragon thing. She was definitely irrated that he was attracting more attention than she was. But he was also being flashier too.
 
She glared at the small group. And crushed them effortlessly and brutally. She was already needing a shower at the amount of blood that she had on her. Anna then stared at the main building and started to walk there...
 
~ Yuri and Kain ~
 
The distractions didn't waste time. Parry was more flashy, where Anna wasn't. But she will penetrate their lines and make them notice her eventually or a lot more. Yuri followed Kain's lead. As expected, resistance was light if there was any...so far at least...

Parius disengaged his shikai, and merely sat there until the others returned. He didn't much like this woman's bloodthirsty nature. But, then again, Parius had gotten Kain to join him. He sighed at himself. Tomorrow is going to be quite the time.......

The Next Day

Parius activated one his blades, as black fire spilled around his arm. Molding some of it in his hand, he awaited the signal. Once it happened, Parius allowed the tiny dragon to fly away from him, before pooling more of the flames into his right hand. He Shunpo'ed to the place the dragon was, where there were a couple of guards. "Now then. Make my monster grow." Parius unleashed the flames at the tiny dragon. at first the guards laughed at him for missing them. Then, they became horrified as a huge dragon made of black flames appeared.

"Go. Have fun." He said, as the dragon roared. As it drew most of the attention, Parius focused on some of the snipers. Some of them were trying to shoot his dragon. Parius pin-pointed on of the shots, and shunpo'ed over. Blasting through the wall, the sniper had enough time to turn around before Parius sliced his throat evenly. Doing the same for the rest of the snipers who were shooting at his dragon, Parius had taken out at least 3 snipers. He waited for the rest to make their move.
