Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptySat Feb 02, 2013 4:51 pm

Gazing at the destroyed machine from the top of the crater, The Thaos Pilot could not help but feel a great sense of longing as he saw the shattered corpse of the metal train he had been assigned to keep safe. Perhaps it was the sudden outburst in his mind that all of his comrades he had known for years were dead, his apprentice dead, and he was trapped between two rather violent men. At that point, the unnamed pilot could not help but fall to his mechanical knees, his helmet letting out a burst of gas as it took in clean air. The man was a wreck, he had tried his best to keep the charade up, yet the tragedy finally came. It came with the force of all his dead comrades choking his mentality as he stared blankly at the sand he had been ordered to collect.

Being brought back to reality at Kain's demand, the pilot stood up quietly as he shook his head profusely, trying to regain composure; his hands shaking, trembling. He has seen death a number of times, but the idea of everyone he remotely depended on being gone with the wind was too much for the half mechanical man. He walked to the hover truck's door, opening it without much emotion and sat in the driver's seat. With a sigh, The pilot grabbed the wheel, taking a moment to figure out where all the necessary buttons where before starting the ignition. To say the least the engine purred like a kitten, it had power, yet it wasn't as overbearing as the tunneler had been.

Backing up away from the crater, the pilot floored it as the truck lurched forward as it zoomed across the edge of the wide crater, figuring there was no point in testing it down that deep slope of sand and up again. The ride continued as the pilot stayed quiet, half focused on where he was headed, and the other half trying to push back the grief for later. Up above the trio was the reconnaissance drone, a few miles away, its bright white paint contrasting against the blue sky nicely as it glided on the wind. The drone streaming video and taking in pictures as it flew, all of which where still being sent directly to Ramirez at the headquarters of Thaos.

Nothing had gone wrong up until the drone reached the horizon line, as it zoomed in on a vehicle ahead of it, a hover truck.

PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptySat Feb 02, 2013 10:03 pm

Yuri felt sorry for the guy. His way has often been better at minimizing casualties. Kain certainly seemed more like the action type than the espionage type. Yuri kind of relaxed after getting dressed. That was when he sort of noticed a shadow...and it was getting bigger. Curious, he opened the window and looked around in the sky. There was something white and shiny heading towards them from a very far ways...but it was getting closer. Sticking his head back in, he asked Kain something. "Do you have a range limit on your abilities? There's a drone following us..." At his response, Yuri smiled. "Destroy the drone...Thaos guy...move over...Kain, go topside then get in the cab after dispatching the drone"

Yuri went out the window on the driver's side and opened up the driver's side door, putting his hand on the wheel and waited patiently for Kain and the Thaos guy to move to their respective spots. The blond closed the door and floored the pedal. Once he saw that the drone had landed violently, he changed directions, swirving to the left. "We're gonna go this way for several minutes, then direct me which direction to turn. Kain, have that Fairy of yours scout around...I want to know if we have trouble coming our way and from which direction." He was still going full throttle. But high speed chases and evasion was one skill he needed to learn by the seat of his pants...and now it has become mere instinct.

Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptySat Feb 02, 2013 10:34 pm

Kain did as he was asked, swinging out the window to climb onto the roof of the truck. He knelt, digging claws into the roof to keep him stable, while he took aim at the drone. He gauged the shot like you would with a sniper, accounting for speed of both the truck and the drone. A couple of seconds later, he fired a purple ball of energy that shot towards the drone.

The bolt of warp energy smashed through the wing, dead on target, and sent it spiraling towards the earth. It hit the sand throwing up a plum of depbris and sand, and kain shot a bigger bolt to make sure it was completely destroyed. He flipped back into the cab, and transfromed from fullbring to his final stage of powers, the armor and mask replaced by his regular clothing. If Yuri asked, he'd explain he couldn't summon Alice in fullbring.

He once again summoned Alice, but this time she was comepletely human in appearance and size. "Check ahead of us, but dont engage the enemy, and return." Alice nodded, and the 5 foot girl threw herself out of the vehicle and shot ahead, flying high to keep out of sight like the drone had. Only, the drone had failed to.

Kain waited for any sign of trouble, which Alice would relay through telepathy. She could speak to anyone that way, but she was feeling rather shy and probably wouldn't say anything to Yuri, which may make Yuri believe she was nothing more than a mobile ice that looked like a human, when she infact had a soul. It was a very strange situation, but after her real body had been killed, it was the only thing that had kept Kain from going completely off the rails.

PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptySat Feb 02, 2013 11:11 pm

Obliging Yuri, the pilot switched seats quickly, throwing himself in the back with a rather loud clank of metal as his foot hit the floor of the truck. "It's Knochen," he spoke through his damaged mask, the microphone fill with static. Releasing a burst of gas out an open window again. Watching the drone from the back window, Knochen quickly ducked for cover, making sure he was not going to be caught on the cameras he knew the drones had. Knowing that if such information was known even he could end up at the wrong end of a firing squad for treason. Though despite ducking in the back seat, the pilot watched as Kain moved on top, piercing the roof of the car as a purple blast was fired.

At first an explosion could be heard through the damaged receptors on then helmet, then came an even louder boom as the drone was finished off. Sitting up as Kain flipped back into the passenger seat. Knochen was intrigued how the man's armor had changed so drastically, noting that for future reference. What really threw the pilot off however was the fact there was a girl suddenly in the cab that jumped out as if it were nothing. Quickly moving to the other window, Knochen peered out watched as the one known as Alice ascended into the sky. "Well, I guess that's something new..." He mumbled under his breath, before sitting back more comfortably. "That large dune on the horizon, you see it? you'll want to take a right after reaching the foot of it, its a man made sand pile." Knochen replied to Yuri as the truck's engine roared from the stress of going at top speed.

Back at headquarters Ramirez slammed his laptop closed as the video stream ended, the drone having been destroyed. The man shouting across the garage as the squad men assembled to their stations, jumping into their respective jeeps, lightly armored and designed to go across the desert. The machines roared loudly as they lifted off the ground and went through the exit. The jeeps filled with twenty seven men, all armed with light assault rifles and medical supplies. Each jeep having an older modeled chain gun mount on the top. "Your orders are to secure the last notified position of the reconnaissance drone, Squad Delta, you are to head to the tunneler and investigate the damage." Ramirez shouted through his headset calmly as he flexed his muscles in anticipation of a fight. The man as powerful as a high ranking vice captain. "Alert has been given, there are two hostiles in a hover truck, they may have a hostage but we do not know for certain proceed with caution. Set your guns to stun, kill if you have to."

The two jeeps soon split in directions as Ramirez headed towards the drone as the others went for the tunneler. To say the least the Head quarters was on standby, the gates being given additional guards, but they were far from being on lock down.

PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptySun Feb 03, 2013 2:47 am

Yuri grinned. "Nice to meetcha. Yuri Romanov, the Jack of All Trades." Hearing the directions, he went to the left instead. "Let's circle it and see if they're gonna respond to their drone being destroyed..." Stopping the truck, he kept it on as he got out. "Let's wait a few minutes. I'm gonna get out and see if there isn't any response teams heading out...Kain, don't kill the man, or hurt him...I don't think he'll do anything stupid, but keep an eye on him..." Yuri grabbed his duffle bag and started rummaging through it, getting a desert camo blanket and binoculars before leaving.

Army crawling to the top, more to the edge and digging in a little bit, he watched as two jeeps came away and then split, one towards the drone, and the other the tunneler. That was faster than expected. After waiting for five more minutes, he went back, and started going. "How much farther is the HQ? And do they have any more vehicles besides those two jeeps?" Yuri kept an eye out for a place to leave the truck. He didn't trust Kain to be so subtle...but maybe it could work to his advantage in finding out the specifics of this operation. He would obviously need to work out this plan of his with Kain...he just hoped things won't get too messy...

PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptySun Feb 03, 2013 3:07 am

Alice flew high, spotting the trucks in the distance. She flew a little farther before she decided to report back. Meanwhile, Yuri pulled the truck over and hopped out. Kain chuckled to Knochen. "He speaks to me like I'd obay. Dont worry, i'm not going to kill you. I'll admit i got a little out of hand before, but I wont apologies. You're more than welcome to take a shot at me once this is over." Kain hopped out of the truck as your came back.

Alice was on her way back now, and relayed to Kain about the trucks. But she had more to say than that. "Alice says the jeeps parted way. Ones coming right for us still though. Knocken, care to tell us if there's anyone significantly dangerous in your security teams?"

He figured Yuri would want to plan, and asked as much. "My suggestion is we deal with who ever's in that truck first. When we get to the base, I'll draw off security if you want to take a look around unhindered. Or we can do this quitely, but.... Thats up to yourself.." Kain didn't like quietly. He could do it, no problem, but he'd always prefered being the distraction. He couldn't help thinking right then that if he died he was going to hell.

Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptySun Feb 03, 2013 6:35 am

Staying in the truck as it parked for a second, Knochen took out his personalized knife cutting the right tube to his helmet seeing as it was useless as a filter any longer. Waiting for Yuri to come back, the pilot merely cleaned himself up as he smeared the blood from the front of his visor with a quick movement of his gloved hand before he opened up a small hatch on his left leg. Knochen listened to Kain's word without replying at first as he was too preoccupied with reorganizing the wiring in his robotic leg. Slamming the hatch closed with a satisfying click, Knochen stretched while looking out the window, his knife sheathed. "I'll take that chance when I cross over that bridge, for now there is no logical route to pursue that wouldn't mean some kind of harm if I attacked you, even after this calamity."

Laughing brazenly at Yuri's question, the static voice crackled as the pilot tried to contain his laughter, failing to do so for several seconds. "Anymore than... two jeeps? Ha! I'm surprised you would ask such a thing considering what you destroyed earlier was something funded by the government. Thaos has an entire complex above and below ground made specifically for the trafficking of tunnelers and their men. Two jeeps is but a small fraction of the resources at the hands of our organization." Taking a deep breath, Knochen continued as he regained his composure. "I can say with utmost certainty that we have at the very least fifty or so jeeps and armed vehicles, not including service vehicles for carrying cargo and the like that would not need weaponry are advanced armor. Though when it comes to tunnelers I've only seen fourteen of them, but there are many docking bays for them, so I'm guessing there are more squads, or some back up tunnelers in case one is under repair."

Knochen flicked a piece of sand from the truck, turning his attention to Kain. "Jeeps are usually reserved for search teams, mainly suited with light weaponry and more so medical supplies. The only people I can think of who would even bother joining a search team would be my project supervisor, Ramirez. I don't know how powerful he is compared to you two but I know he's under gone training from more than just simple military outfits."

Seeing the wreckage of the downed drone Ramirez ordered the jeep to stop near the crash site as he jumped out, several soldiers deploying along with him, the rest continued to keep up communications. There were seventeen of them in total. Taking a step towards the small hole the drone made, pieces of machinery and scrap metal laying across a large radius the supervisor ordered the men to scout about and gather anything of value from the wreckage before reporting back. "I want this drone completely gathered, do not leave a single piece of scrap left on the surface or visible. Set up the data transfer using the laptops see what you can scavenge from its internal memory." Looking across the sand the Puerto Rican didn't spy anything of significance, but he had a gut feeling that the trouble makers were far from gone. Walking back to the jeep to gather his assault rifle, Ramirez slung his weapon over his shoulder using his hud screen to zoom in across the horizon.

"Alert headquarters the hostiles are unknown, and open a wave length to the boss for me." The man spoke through his headset, the hot sun over head not affecting the troops as they collected the destroyed drone. There was nothing to do but wait, and wait he did until a nearby officer told Ramirez the communication link had been opened.

"I hear there has been a problem." Spoke a light voice, obviously female.
"Yes mam, I'm still awaiting for data on the ambushed tunneler, from the looks of the reports I received it was no accident, even more so with the drone being attacked."
"Do not worry too much, I have already sent word to my contacts in Cairo, they are not pleased that their secret experiment is being bothered by someone else. They've traced the information leak which is being dealt with as we speak. Apparently someone suddenly grew a sense of morality."
"Any precautions or orders mam?"
"After both of your teams have finished investigating come on back to HQ, we are driving ahead the plan faster than we would have wanted, though those fools in Cairo want their toy now."
"Roger, I will be in contact shortly."

Closing the transmission Ramirez moved out as he began collecting the shrapnel off the ground that used to be the machine's engine. One third of the squad on guard duty as they scanned the horizon for anything different.

Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptySun Feb 03, 2013 5:32 pm

Yuri grinned. "I was just making sure. We don't know a whole lot about Thaos or anything, so any information is much appreciated." Then came in Alice's report and Knochen's response. One jeep was heading back already? Finding a cave in an array of rock outcroppings, he sped to there. The vehicle spun five times before straightening out and Yuri backing it in. Turning off the lights, he watched. Unlike tracked or tire vehicles, hover vehicles didn't leave much of any trace if any. That's why on sand areas, he prefered hover vehicles...or areas with a combination of water and sand and everything else like swamps.

"Let's be a bit more quiet like, but I'll give you the details once we're closer. Again, how much farther is the base?" He responded to Kain and repeated a question. Depending on that answer would depend on when he let the man go. If it wasn't too much farther, than this would be a good spot. If it was still a ways off, he would continue driving after the jeep had passed and was well out of viewing distance. Finding a good spot to keep the vehicle out of sight and within a good distance to get to the base without a vehicle, Yuri got out and motioned for everyone else to get out too. Grabbing his duffle bag, he walked up to Knochen.

"This is where we part ways. If there is anything else we need to know about the base, now's the time." If there was nothing or after Knochen had said all that he wanted, Yuri would continue. "Alright. Take the hover truck and get to Cairo. Go to a bar at X street and ask for a woman named Angel. For the love all that is holy, don't try to pick a fight with her...female werewolves can be extremely mean. Tell her Yuri sent you and tell her what you need. New identity, new background...basically anything to set you up for another life or a similar one. She'll even help you out of the country should you need it. Good luck and be safe." The man held his hand out to shake. That would also seal the deal.

Turning to Kain after he left, Yuri will smile. "You're either going to hate me...or like me. How much would you like to cut loose for a while and allow yourself to get caught should you get surrounded? That should cause enough of a ruckus for me to get in and investigate this Thaos organization. Maybe even slip in in disguise. I'll keep tabs on you to give you support or something, depending on what I find. Oh, how good are your acting skills?" Yuri almost grinned maliciously. With a snap of his fingers, Kain's appearance would change dramatically. Yuri would also tell him when he starts tearing the place apart, the spell would be disengaged. Of course, if Kain's acting skills sucked...Yuri would change his appearance to that of a blonde, busty, very hot woman in a skimpy outfit. And distract the guards at the front gate long enough for Kain to start his surprise attack on the front gate.

Then the game was truely afoot...

PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptySun Feb 03, 2013 6:37 pm

They hopped back in the truck and were off again, Alice still hovering around the truck that had stopped. Likely, they were waiting, and expected Yuri to drive right up. Kain was pretty sure that wasn't going to happen, infact as the hover truck spun in circles towards a rocky outcrop, Kain started to think they weren't going anywhere in this thing again.

Yuri stopped and reversed the thing in, then started asking more questions. Kain wasn't to bothered with the whole thing, he was more interested in what Alice had to tell him as she watched one of the recovery teams gather up the broken parts of the drone. what ever came next, Kain didn't pay much mind, until they were ready to move on the base. Kain hopped out of the truck and called Alice back.

Yuri gave some instructions to Knochen and said he could take the truck. Kain gave Knochen a curt nod goodbye, expecting they meet again one day. Who knew. Then Yuri asked Kain something that made him regard the man with sceptecism. "I can't act worth shit. I can walk somewhere with perpose, if I dont have to talk to anyone I can get in postion without trouble."

The next part of the plan amused him. Getting caught, that would be a first. Still he would get to ply his trade at the same time, and getting free wouldn't be two hard. "Sounds like fun. I wont need back up for the most part." He said, nodding towards Alice who appeared nearby. She'd reverted to her fairy form to conserve energy, and wouldn't be able to take on the human one for a while now.

Kain checked out his new appearance, and nodded. That would help blend in. "So, lets get in there then. I'm ready when you are." Kain said. Alice shot up into the sky as he said that.

Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptySun Feb 03, 2013 7:38 pm

"The base is two miles Northeast of this outcrop, we used to use this for temporary storage during construction of the base itself. If you look carefully and can see past the heat waves warping the ground you can see a small radio tower on a clear day. That's the outskirts of the headquarters." Knochen spoke without much emotion as he jumped out of the truck for a few seconds to move about, the small cave bringing back Knochen to past memories, which he quickly shook off. Shaking Yuri's hand with his cold gloved hand, the former pilot took his leave as he took the keys as started the ignition again. The Truck having barely enough gas to make it to the edge of Cairo if nothing went awry. Peeking out his masked face from the driver's window Knochen merely waved as he gave Yuri one last bit of advice before exiting the cave. "Don't go underground unless necessary, the passages were built to collapse in case unwanted persons were known to be inside the complex. It will be a ghost town there during lock down."

Putting the petal to the metal so to speak, Knochen blazed a trail in the sand as the vehicle lurched forward the sand being kicked up in a small cloud of dust. "Consider that slight payback!" Knochen laughed through the static as he moved away from his captors. He didn't know what the wind felt like, but he imagined it was great as he went through the desert aiming for Cairo. All the while Knochen kept repeating to himself what street and bar to look for.

At the crash site Ramirez gathered the last of the wreckage, throwing the heaps of metal in the back of the jeep's trunk he waited for the second squad to reply which the did shortly to the supervisor's convenience. The tunneler was beyond repair for the moment, the crew fully dead, but the bodies were hard to count do to the carnage the squad coming up short two bodies. Ordering them to withdrawal back to base the crater was filled in thanks to well planted explosives across the top of the area. Once notified that the tunneler was buried both jeeps headed back to base, as ordered, though both were still separated by a few miles.

Headquarters was on alert as the guards moved back and forth to the gates of the complex. The entire area spanning out for half a mile in all directions in a giant circle of metal and concrete domes pushing out from under the bed of sand. There were ten domes, each one devoted to a different sub branch of Thaos protocol, however each one only had two entrances, one connected to the outside and one connected to the tunnel network that ran under the entire complex. High walls could be seen across the circle, decorated with barb wire and land mines beneath the concrete wall rising seven feet tall. The place was a fortress for normal humans. However, the place lacked anti air support, possessing only one cannon for taking down aircraft.

Guards were posted among small watch towers next to the four exits and entrances to the walls as armored jeeps were present with their chain guns. As the place moved in an organized frenzy the boss stayed in her central position of the entire complex, working away at her console with her security branch, making sure there were few places left unguarded.

Yuri dusted himself off from the sand. Yeah...he couldn't complain too much...he did kind of deserve it...Kain more so than him, but still. The new information was nice to know. With his and Kain's disguises being hot women with fantastic boobs and showing a lot of skin, they walked on what he assumed to be the road. They caught the guards attention very quickly. At first, they didn't even see them clearly. Yuri walked right up to the front gate. Some guns were trained on the duo, others were basically drooling. Some still were in between the two reactions. The spy saw a few cameras...and in wonderfully perfect locations to look at the entrance. And not very hard to shoot at either.

Yuri "bobbed" his fake magically created boobs. In a very feminine voice, he spoke. "Hey boys, my friend and I are lost and without a vehicle...could you handsome darlings help us out?" As one of the guards came close to Kain, and another to Yuri, the man nodded to Kain for him to start his fun. Yuri himself grabbed the man's gun in front of him and slammed it into his nose, turning the man to hide him as the spell disengaged. Taking out the man's side arm, Yuri hit the cameras first. If Kain wasn't done, Yuri would then take out a few with well placed shots before snapping the guy's neck. He trusted Kain to do his work. With a snap of his fingers, he disguised himself again, this time in the same uniform as the other man.

Yuri also had black hair and dark green eyes. He immediatly ran inside the complex. When he saw the first group of reinforcements, he spoke hysterically. "Help...that man's a monster! He slaughtered everyone at the front gate! So...much...blood..." After the group's leader slapped him, telling him to get a hold of himself, he asked which way he went. Yuri responded with the direction Kain went from the gate. He was then ordered to help the medical team pick up the pieces at the front gate, as they were already on the way. Yuri nodded and did exactly that when the medical team came by a few minutes after, escorted by a few guards. Yuri told them who ordered him to help, and there were no questions asked. And so the infiltration began...

Kain sneered after Knochen as he threw up a plume of sand into their faces. Damn sand. Damn desert. He srugged it off and followed Yuri's lead. As they approached the gate, a genuine smile on his face, he was looking forward to the next part, guns were leveled on them. But other men were easily fooled. Eitherway, a pair came down to check them out as Yuri explained their situation in a rather convincing voice.

The gaurd infront of kain kept staring at his chest, and it was very satisfying when he was given the all clear. Kain head butted the man, breaking Yuri's illusion. He decided to keep his talents hidden, so he stepped around him, grabbing the man's knife from his hip, and lay open his throat with a spray of blood, the kicked the dying gaurd away. The others opened fire, kain used instinct and speed to keep out of the path of fire as he fell on the next one, one hand up to force the man back while he quickly stabbed the knife into the man's chest in three rapid stabs.

Kain jumped, using blurr to throw himself onto the wall next to the other gaurds. One man turned an assault rifle on him and kain threw the knife. He actually missed slightly, the knife tore across the man's hand and threw off his aim. Kain used that chance to trip and turn the man towards his comrads. He disliked what came next, but with Yuri firing a few shots of his own, he wanted them to think only one man was here, so he clamped a finger down on the trigger of the assault rifle, mowing down the men on the wall with a sprey of bullets.

Job down, Kain snapped the last man's neck, took his knife and tossed him from the wall. He nodded to Yuri who ran off into the compound disguised and screaming for help. This was fun. Kain dropped down and ran the opposite way, killing anyone in his path. It wasn't long before people started pulling back. Kain slowed his space, sure they would come in force, and the real fun would begin. He took a pistol from a corspe, though he had no intention of firing it.

PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptyMon Feb 04, 2013 5:15 am

Veering away from a boulder, Knochen drove silently as he made sure to check his surroundings, the left side of his hud starting to give out from the past damage. Wiping away excess sand from his visor, the pilot watched the fuel gauge closely seeing as it was near redlining. "Damn." Is all he muttered as time seemed to past slowly, it had only been a few minutes since he left the two men and Knochen already felt the pangs of depression settling back in again, knowing that the only one he currently had left was his sister, as condescending as she was. Tryign to snap out of the daydream Knochen shook his head violently as he aught a glimmer to the left of him, a bright light being reflected off some kind of metal object. He had no idea what it was, but it was approaching fast as its form grew less vague.

Rapidly flooring the machine again, the truck lurched a little bit before it stabilized, it could not go any faster than a hundred eighty miles per hour. Eyeing the object quickly approaching from the side mirror, Knochen hugged the steering wheel with his chest, trying to hide as much as he could of himself while still being able to see where the hell he was going. For a moment, the object disappeared from site giving the pilot a moment of respite before a volley of bullets whirred over head with intensity. Loud screeches resonated in the air with each bullets came flying at the rear of the truck, the metal being punctured easily as it was not armored in the slightest. The back window suddenly becoming a spider webbed as holes appeared across the glass the bullets embedding themselves in the back seat and flooring, even some going straight forward and hitting the windshield. "What the... hell!" Knochen screamed as he twisted the steering wheel a hard right, the man dodging another volley of bullets from behind, his side door becoming a piece of scrap metal within seconds as a bullet lodged itself in his metal leg. Reaching for his pistol, Knochen cursed to himself realizing it had been destroyed by Kain, going for his knife as his next best option he shoved the sheathed weapon into his right leg, with the circuit board.

The jeep originally checking the tunneler came into view as its chain gun began to fire again, this time more accurately, as if the first volley was just a warning. The hover jets in the back becoming inoperable as they were riddled with holes and shrapnel. Knochen couldn't do anything as his truck just dropped half into the sand, dragging itself as the front motor tried to move the hulk of metal to no avail. All the while, the troops in the jeep stopped firing as their target came to a halt, pulling along side the truck a dozen soldiers dropped out as they dragged the pilot out of the truck and onto the ground with force. A handful of gun barrels pointed at the man's skull. "Stay still and you might find me merciful. Your are coming with us." A man spoke through his audio straight into Knochen's helmet. "You wear the armor of our organization, criminal."

Signalling two troops they moved forward grabbing Knochen by the arms as they dragged his body into the jeep, tossing him into a corner as three more guns were leveled at his body. "Whose armor is that? check his ID." Spoke the squad master as he hopped back into the jeep, several soldiers checking the contents of the truck, finding nothing of value or importance. "The armor is registered to a Knochen En Vlees, a tunneler pilot of the very one we just investigated sir."

"Bah! So killing our comrades isn't good enough? You must leave them bare to the world at death? How dare you steal from Thaos! I have a mind to shoot you in the head right here! But, I won't the boss wouldn't be happy with that now would she?" The commander spoke as the others nodded in agreement, their armor looking identical to that of Knochen's. "Stay put you." He spoke as he ordered the rest of the squad back into the jeep, the chain gun becoming manned again. The armored vehicle backing up in reverse as it headed in the opposite direction of Cairo, to their headquarters. "Open a communication link to the security dome, let them know we caught one of the perpetrators."

The headquarters was in a mess, the front gate having been besieged so to speak, soldiers streaming up into the surface from the underground complex of the building as the entire building went under lock down. Huge metal frames coming down all over the underground area as the lights were turned off. It had become a ghost town within mere seconds.

"Move it you dogs! Don't let that monster in!" A commander shouted as the ten jeeps behind the gate became manned, the chain guns leveling with Kain as they opened fire with a barrage of piercing bullets. As two more squads of thirty men each came out from the sides of the first dome, they immediately spaced out from one another as they kept track of Kain, sending information to one another continuously, acting as one so to speak. The bold yellow symbol of a phoenix embroidered upon their helmets visible for all to see. The medical team swarming outward as they came as first responders to their fallen comrades. At that moment, Ramirez' troop came within shooting distance of the front gate, the supervisor watchign as bullets sprayed everywhere.

"What the hell is going on?!" He yelled as he connected his helmet to the communication network, hearing that there was an intruder slaughtering at the front. "GAH! Move forward! We are going through the side entrance, were we won't be filled with bullets! Move!" Ramirez commanded as the jeep moved furiously to the other side of the complex the squad entering as the supervisor took off like a shot into the first dome building he could. He would not let his entire project die so easily. Sirens booming through the intercom systems of the domes as those who were non combative moved into the security dome and garage.

PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptyMon Feb 04, 2013 10:36 pm

As Yuri helped out with the medical corps., he took note of the cameras, major landmarks, tunnel entrances/exits, anything he can find. Knochen was right, in lockdown, the place became a ghost town. But he found nothing that could be of use. Until he was asked to escort some non-combatants to the security dome. There was where he found the armory and several large rooms. Even one area that everyone stayed clear of...the boss's office. The security dome was where it was at...or seemed to be at least. He took the noncombatants to what looked like a large training room. From there he went outside.

That was when he saw Knochen being escorted by several guards. Despite not showing any emotion at all, Yuri facepalmed himself mentally. They would be looking for the hover truck. He was soon asked to go to the research dome for the last batch of noncombatants. Yuri ran in general direction, stopping just long enough to look at the arrangement of the domes. He then took off towards the appropriate location.

Banging in the doors, he told everyone that they needed to evacuate due to the intruder. The chief scientist got all pissy at him for disturbing their work. Yuri asked if he could use a monitor, and was granted. Tapping into the security feeds, he watched as Kain took out several gun jeeps and cut a bloody swath through the soldiery. "If you really wanna get caught and slaughtered by that monster, be my guest. If you don't wanna die...go to the security dome!" He yelled at them with a slight Arabic accent. The message seemed to have gotten through as they ran off. The man switched the monitor back to its original viewing. It would have been a perfect chance to see what they were doing...but there was a security camera in the room.

Instead, he just took a few glances on each one and walked away. Perhaps too slowly. But it was nothing he couldn't get out of with a simple snap of the fingers. He just hoped he didn't see what he thought he just saw...

Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptyTue Feb 05, 2013 2:34 am

It wasn't long into the slaughter when Kain found himself up against a wall. Or rather, 10 jeeps with mounted chain guns. Oh fun.. If he wasn't careful those guns would shread him, powers or no. The weapons opened fire as soldiers manned the guns, and other men fired assault rifles and other guns. Kain blurred out of the line of fire behind a low wall of concrete, he didn't expect to last to long.

the guns drilled the wall with machine gun fire, but the concentrated attack helped keep the gunners allies back off him. He needed a plan, he didn't want them to know about his powers, or they might make it a little harder to escape. Still he had no other real choice but to risk it. Kain blurred from behind the wall to the right of the jeeps. men let out shouts of warning and turrets turned to him.

In that brief time he formed ice on the guns, light at first but slowly growing thicker, slowing the weapons until they froze up. Kain smiled as gunners went to work trying to get them moving again, and dashed in close. He imbedded the knife hilt deep in the first man he came to, dodging and blurring through the ranks of men skillfully. his speed made it difficult for them to follow, and jumping around the groups of men made it dangerous to use their rifles against him.

Some pulled knives, others just beat at him with their guns if they could. Either way, with each stroke of Kain's knife, someone died. He could feel the fear and anger of these men, some would run soon, others attack harder to kill the monster before them. The use of that word had ammused him, even though it was true. He was a monster, taking joy in every spray of blood, every agonised scream.

He caught one man as he came at Kain with his knife. Kain spun him, driving the man's own knife into his chest, and used him as a human shield as another let out a burst of gun fire. A bullet clipped his arm, first injury of the day. Kain threw the body into a pair of men and rushed his attacker, lancing a fist into the man's throat before he could fire again. That sent him down gurgling, sufficating because of a crushed wind pipe.

There was a distinct click as one of the chainguns was gotten back into working order, and Kain disengaged the men. He'd killed allot, atleast twenty in the time it took the gunners to get their weapons working. Diving back into cover he waited for the gun fire to calm down. To his surprise and ammusement, a sqaud of men had formed to his right, leaving him know where to go. More men were moving in. Someone spoke. "Give up! We have you surrounded. Keep ressisting and you wont leave here alive! You have 3 seconds to drop your weapons and comply!"

Kain hesitated. He could escape.. He felt challenged by the mans words. But now wasn't the time. He threw his knife out and raised his hands as he stepped out. "Secure him! You, dont move or those chain guns will mow you down faster than you can blink. Down on your knees!" Kain complied. He wasn't sure but he thought he could see doubt in the eyes of the gunners.

Men held guns on him as two others came over to secure his hand. They hand cuffed him, and he was careful not to resist. Then they pulled him onto his feet and one of they were ordered to take him to the prison dome. Atleast ten others joined them, guns trained on him the whole time. They threw him in a high security cell with a nice thick steel door, still handcuffed. Now to wait.

Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptyTue Feb 05, 2013 3:40 am

Tossing Knochen into a holding cell forcefully, soldiers ran back and forth as they heard the good news that the attack at the front had been thwarted. Finally they could rest for a moment's respite. The soldiers beginning the repair process as the men at the front gate let the rest of the medical teams come out, body bags being brought out continually only for them to be filled. It was a tragic day to say the least, but knowing they had locked up two perpetrators Thaos could rest easy. Or so most thought, the sirens turned off as the place continued to remain under lock down. The director of Thaos rummaging through the files handed to her by her trusted few operatives, Ramirez standing in the corner of the office waiting for his boss' choice.

Ramirez had no idea what had gone down until it was too late, and he hated that very fact. His powers had been left idle, a bit of information he didn't take happily. Watching as the three operatives left the room, the metal door sliding closed. The boos spoke, her voice full of authority, yet one could tell there was a slight bit of sadness in her voice as she looked through the reports from the investigation teams and the list of the current dead. "Eighty seven troops... gone, just like that." She spoke as she slammed the file down in a swift action, making Ramirez jump. "This should not have happened, that damn information link in Cairo cost us at the very minimum five squads and a tunneling crew. Damn it!" She cursed as she stood up, pacing back and forth behind her wooden desk. Pictures of soldiers and family alike decorating the walls. Thaos always had great morale and the tragedy had punctured the very fabric which held the members together so easily.

"Mam, we have two prisoners though, that's worth something." Ramirez spoke, his helmet laying on a small corner table as he spoke, trying to soothe his boss, knowing she could wreck the security dome if she got too angry. "Which brings me to the next objective, what should we do with both of them? One came relatively easy, but we can't tell whose under the armor of the first prisoner without endangering some of our men, especially if we consider he is just as strong as the second one who surrendered." Pausing as he watched the boss take a sip of water, he rubbed his eyes considering it had been a long day. "Should be kill them and be done with it?"

The tapping of her shoes echoed in the room as the boss finally stopped moving, "No, we will not flat out kill them, but we will remain under lock down for now, I don't trust either of them, especially the one who surrendered. The men have murmurs of doubt that they could have even killed him in the first place, even more so when all ten chain guns froze up at the same time is even odder. We will interrogate them one at a time..." Remembering her brother who was counted among the dead, the boss shook the feelings away as her expression changed to something more severe, authority was in her voice, and power in her step. "Ramirez, you are to stay in this very office and guard these consoles, if for some reason something goes awry I want you to disable these consoles by any means necessary. Got that?"

"Yes mam!"

"Good, now I'm going to go gather a few soldiers which are still left on guard duty, treat yourself to a drink its been a long day." She spoke as she exited her office, the room being smack dab in the middle of the entire security complex, the non combatants returning to their jobs, but being given more protection than usual. The outside of the complex having become barren as a notice was issued through the intercom that nobody was allowed outside for the time being.

As she walked being followed by four interrogators, the boss went straight to the neighboring dome building, where the captives were both held, glancing from the cameras she felt hatred for the first captive than she could explain for wearing the armor of Thaos so nonchalantly, the idea of stripping naked one of her operatives disgusted her. Seeing Kain in the cell right next to Knochen she contemplated one which one to select first, her anger aside she picked Kain. The five men and woman walking down the cell block, a simple passage connected to the indoor training grounds, a wide open dome building with only two separate rooms, one the cell block, and the second a management office next to the entrance into the dome itself.

Sitting outside Kain's cell door, the boss looked over the man with disgust, covered in her own soldier's blood. "So, why did you surrender?" She asked, staring right at Kain's face, her dark blue eyes taking in everything out of the ordinary, as her short brown hair was covered by a military issued cap, her uniform the same as the rest of the soldiers. All the while, thoughts of how this man could have killed her brother made her blood boil.

Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptyTue Feb 05, 2013 8:59 pm

Things started to quiet down. And not a moment too soon as he finally found where they kept the uniforms. It seemed to be one of the few places not under survelance...but understandable. His duffle bag was disguised as an assault rifle. There were plenty lying around for him to take, and it was pretty easy doing so without notice. Now, Yuri didn't have to use his powers to disguise his clothes, and his duffle bag was in a vent. He was also in his same disguise as when he left Cairo now.

He did sneak into the security dome just to see if he got to check out any of the big bosses. As it turned out, he did see a woman walking with a small escort of five soldiers heading somewhere diligently. He assumed it was either the big boss themselves or just a major higher up beyond just this Remirez character. He still was going to check up on things in the garage. Throughout his patrol, he gathered a lot about Thaos's environment. Their morale was very hugh. Until now. There were tons of questions about why the guy surrendered so easily when he did so much damage and probably could have kept going. They even questioned if they could have even killed him. There were doubts. Yuri suppressed his smile. If Kain doing this did so much psychological damage...what could his part do to their belief system?

While it would be fun just to see what he could do to that structure, he had a job to do. He helped supervise chainguns that were used against Kain. He even wrote down the report. Ice, though almost completely melted. Very clever Kain, but surely you could have done better. He was then told to take the report to Remiraz in the bosses office. Yuri questioned him. It was a simple assumption considering the lower officers and recruits avoided the area like a plague, but it seemed to have been the right one. His superior waved him off and said that he'll notify Remiraz that he's delivering the report. As Yuri walked off, he did notice the officer notifying the man right away.

The currently blond young man was nervous...on the inside. He didn't even want to do this this soon. He would much rather find their IT department and start investigating what he saw in the cheif scientists' research area. He knocked twice on the office door, awaiting to be allowed in. When told to come in, Yuri did just that, saluted exactly how the lower soldiery did to their officers. "The report about the chainguns is here, sir." He handed ripped man the clipboard with the report and awaited to be dismissed. It was blatently obvious this Remiraz was no amatuer military man. If he was just the supervisor...just what could their big boss do?

PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptyTue Feb 05, 2013 9:14 pm

Kain smiled, face hidden beneath his hood as the gaurds walked away. He hoped Yuri was getting everything he needed, because that blood shead had stirred something in Kain. He lusted for more... But not just anyone would do.. He wanted to kill something strong. Maybe he'd visit chicago after this, and kill some hollow, and draw out a nice arrancar to kill. How easy it would be to escape, and do just that.. As if she could read his mind, Alice interjected. Kain, you need to focus.. Dont loose it now. She said.

He Relaxed a little. Your right... Well, go find Yuri, and let him know I'm captured. Dont worry about a rescue, i've got this covered. Alice hesitated with her reply. Kain.. He interupted her quickly. Now's not the time for shyness, Alice. Or for worrying. He could sense her displesure. Then shock. They have that man from before..!

Kain didn't particularly care. They'd figure out who he was fast enough and let him go. Either way it wasn't his problem. But he would help if the man needed it, he guessed. I'll do something about that. Tell Yuri not to worry, I'm pretty sure if I don't do something to help Knocken, we will have trouble working together in the future.. Again Alice was shocked, and slightly amused. Wow.. You made a freind! Thats a big step for you.

Get on with it Alice.. And stay hidden, dont blow his damn cover. As he said that, someone appeared at the door. She looked important, by the way those people with here milled about respectfully. Kain stared right at her, his face smeared with blood. He met her eyes.. such anger.. Had he killed someone close to her perhaps? He smiled ever so faintly, he hoped she could see it in the shadow of his hood.

He found her question very amusing. Infact, he laughed, a very human sound. She was smart, though his sudden surrender had been suspicious. He needed to keep up his part and play distraction a little longer, until Alice sent word back that Yuri was finished. He contemplated the question. He found he couldn't help it, so he gave a smart ass reply. "I was asked very nicely. For someone who killed around 80 of your men, I didn't count i'm just guessing, your men were rather nice to give me a chance to surrender. I'd have killed me." He said.

His hands wers still cuffed behind his back, but ice slowly crept over them, freezing the metal. Kain's naturally low body temperature was the cause, and anything in contact with him could be frozen like so. "So tell me something.. Why sand? I'm baffled by your choice. I asked the pilot of that.. thing.. but he never responded to me. I cut off his head after that. I cut off a few heads actually.. You might need a basket to gather them." Kains words were ment to anger, push her farther. He might be able to trick a few answers out of her, when she wasn't thinking straight.

He watched her reaction, but then he had something better. That inkling of a feeling he'd killed someone dear to her.. He could be wrong, but he went for it anyway. "Who were they? The person I took from you.." He waited for the reaction, in anticipation, smiling as his handcuffs started to crack silently behind his back.

PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptyTue Feb 05, 2013 10:36 pm

Taking the report from the soldier, Ramirez chewed on a piece of gum as he looked over the packet of paper briefly. "At ease..." he spoke his accent sneaking into his words as the man moved over to the console in the corner. "Packet received." The supervisor confirming that the report reached his hands personally. Even in the midst of carnage the rudimentary rules still prevailed in Thaos, the order which helped confirm their jobs giving a small bit of satisfaction as they milled about. Turning back to Yuri, though Ramirez had no idea who he was, he spoke casually as he did with many of his officers in peaceful settings.

"You have family private?" Ramirez spoke as he took a seat in the boss' comfy office chair, as he poured himself a glass of water from a small jug. "I'd hate to think that your here with family back home, but then again some consider this place their home now, its only been seven years since this place started up."

Ramirez waited for Yuri to reply, the supervisor's thick mustache dripped with water with every sip, the stocky man wiping it off as best he could with his uniform sleeve.

Back at the small cell block, the boss' attitude changing slightly for the worse, but she kept her composure as was one of her best skills as a director. "Eighty-seven." She flatly stated as snapped her fingers, an officer to her side handing the boss a small documented report as she skimmed through it in a few seconds, all the while listening to Kain's talking. His words pissing her off more and more, but she held her breath and counted to ten in her mind, seeing as it was not worth ruining half the facility just to hurt someone by herself.

Handing the document back to the operative the boss grinned at Kain's question, "I'm the one asking the questions here, but I'm sure you'll find out soon enough, you don't seem the type to stay cooped up for long, especially seeing how you fight." Glancing at a different operative the boss shook her head as the soldier left the hallway for a minute.

At that point Kain's words made the boss flinch slightly as rubbed the side of her head casually, a headache coming on. "You have a loose tongue, one that should be clipped. But, why ruin such a rambunctious captive, who could tell me the contents of your job here." Pausing as the operative returned, the boss smiled as she was handed another report. But Kain's next words stung more so than usual as she imagined her brother's head being cut off. The image infuriating her to no end. Cussing under her breath she shoved the report back into one of the operative's hands as she kicked a chair across the hall, the metal and plastic piece splintering into shards.

She was angry, and it did not help the fact that the neighboring prisoner was supposedly wearing her brother's pilot uniform. "Oh. you got me." She replied darkly as she moved to the next cell over, yanking the door open. The soldiers accompanying her leaving the room quickly, not wanting to be caught in the aftermath. "I really do hate to do this," she spoke as she grabbed Knochen whose hud had completely switched off from the damages to his suit. The pilot not being able to hear or see a damned thing as he felt himself being dragged.

"W-what the? What's going on?" Knochen asked as he felt his entire body being lifted off the ground by the boss as she tossed him against the hallway wall with ease, her physical strength being her key ability. Knochen's voice full of static and broken up into sound bites. "If. You. Must. Know. You. Killed. My. Brother. Now, you'll answer this question of mine or your partner here ends up with his spine spread like a slinky. What. Is. Your. Purpose. Here?" The boss spoke slowly as if Kain was stupid, her temper having won the fight with her composure.

Yuri stood at ease and just watched, glancing furtively every so often. Pictures hung across the wall...soldiers...family...both...he didn't know how the boss was related to them, but it was beginning to dawn on him that this was a pretty tight-knit group, despite their size. That could make things very difficult. It somehow ached his heart for his older brother and childhood friend. Although there was some hope now with discovering Angel is still alive. He also noticed the consoles and security feeds. He stopped himself from smiling. It made some sense...but what a control freak. But his supervisor started speaking. At that moment, he now knew why the following...while a military man, he cared for his troops...perhaps another reason for the formerly high morale. Or at least that's what he implied from the casual tone of voice. But he also found out how long this operation has been running.

"No sir. Not anymore. My brother and childhood friend died six years ago. They were my family." Due to the Coalition's lazyness in dealing with those that didn't want to join them...Though seeing Angel again certainly gave him hope about his friend's family. His voice, unfortunately, betrayed some of his sorrow. But he quickly pulled it together. As he awaited to be dismissed, he still looked around, taking in everything. He would question his supervisor...but that seemed very inappropriate...especially since this was a military operation. And he'd rather not risk seeing if they were still recruiting with a chance remark. Or anything else that might blow his cover...

Kain smiled as the desired effect was achieved. the woman ripped the door off the cell next to him. He laughed like a mad man as she pulled out poor Knochen who seemed to have lost all ability to speak. Oh.. She had him in a bad situation... Threatening her own subordinate, kain was so tempted to goad her into killing the man. He wondered if it would break her... Realising she'd killed one of her own. Had he known Knochen was her brother, he'd have done it. As it was, he did not know that.

He did however know some details about the organisation that raised him. If he didn't wipe Thaos of the map, making them pissed of at kartos Prime would be quite benificial. They might stop hunting him while they tried to figure out what was going on. Kain nodded, It would do.
"Oh please dont hurt my freind. Pesh.. You'd like if i begged. I have no need for freinds.. It makes you weak... It leaves you open to manipulation... Right? Still.. I'll tell you everything.... I was ordered to."

Kain waited till she could see his face. "Kartos Prime. Do You know that name? They Kidnap kids and train them to be killing machines? Well, the overseers of Kartos prime send their regards. I'm not entirely sure why, they dont tell us everything. My orders were to deliver this message. 'The world isn't big enough for both of us.' Ha.. Ha.. Just think, I can do all this in less than two hours, think what ten of us could do.. "

That should get her scared. If she survived this, Kartos Prime might have some trouble. As far as he could recall there was no one quite like him left there, but then, they'd been training assassins for years, he wouldn't be surprised if they had something nasty hidden away. "Well.. I think I've over stayed my welcome. Before i go though... Lets see if I can't make that 87 an even 100." He said the last part with deep malice. There was a loud snapping sound as he broke free from his handcuffs wiith ease, metal shards dropping to the floor.

Kain raised his hand to his face and a purple aure appeared around him as he once again entered fullbring. Now wearing the skull mask from before, and the thick leather and metal armor that granted him greater protection. Kain's form flickered and he walked through the door with ease to stand before the woman. He did not disingauge the ability. He was untouchable by pysical forces until he returned to a more solid state, and likewise he could not strike back.

"I'll start with you.. The longer you live, the longer your Men do. I wont lay a finger on them until your blood drips from my claws and you lay dying at my feet. By the way... He killed your brother, not me." his voice resonated through the helm and he laughed madly as he watched her reaction.

Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptyWed Feb 06, 2013 4:07 am

Picking up Knochen again, Holly, as she had long changed her family name, kept hold of him as her brother's hands reached for his throat, trying to keep himself from choking under her grip. He may not know what was going on with his broken helmet, but he knew when he was being threatened. The static that was now his voice screeching silently as the audio receptors started to go, the batteries in the suit starting to loose their charge. Dangling his feet, the pilot tried to loosen the grip, but he only managed to make a little bit of breathing room. "Stop struggling and I won't crush you..." Holly spoke through gritted teeth realizing that the man probably couldn't hear her with such a damaged headset, seeing as the entire uniform was very worn, even spotted with blood and a few bullet holes.

Hearing Kain speak again, Holly chose to ignore that she was being open to manipulation, wiping a bit of blood that had rubbed off on her gloved hand from Knochen's suit, Holly looked Kain dead in the eyes as she crept around the corner to look at him from a different angle. "Kartos Prime? Those assassin dogs?!" Holly swore as she slapped Knochen across the helmet to make him stay still, his feet still in the air, dangling helplessly. "So they think they can just up and mock Thaos! Bah!" Holly yelled as she backed up several inches, her intuition giving her mixed feelings on what Kain spoke about killing more of her soldiers.

Feeling Kain's power, Holly felt pressure upon her body as it grew harder to breathe, she was strong, but she never had trained in endurance, especially against people other than Ramirez who was only slightly weaker than herself. At that point Knochen began to black out, the spiritual energy starting to takes its toll on his body now that his mechanical suit was almost out of power. Nodding his head lazily his grip loosened as one hand dropped to his side, it was hard to stay awake.

Backing off several feet down the open hallway, Holly watched as the man before her moved through the holding cell without a problem, threatening her and her organization. "Hmph! Killing me will do little to stop-" The boss paused as she looked at the other man she was holding, hearing that he had supposedly killed her brother. Holding her imminent rage in check, just barely, Holly turned to Kain with an odd smile plastered across her tanned feminine face. "Well the, I guess you'll just have to catch me." She laughed as she teleported away from the holding area, and away from Kain. Knochen disappearing into the air as he was brought with. She would take vengeance upon the one wearing her brother's armor first. Reappearing in a dome directly behind the security building, Holly threw Knochen across the small research area, his body smashing into a desk as he rolled on the ground in pain.

"Damn you!" She spoke as she ordered the alarm to sound to a nearby researcher who quickly ran across the lab to a lever which he smashed the glass with his elbow, turning on the alarm again. Sirens sounding throughout the complex as soldiers immediately grabbed their guns again as they reasserted their dominance over the complex. Though they had no chain guns or vehicles to lend them help they rushed to the security dome and the outlying passages and exits, as Holly's voice spoke over an intercom telling them that the prisoner has escaped.

At that point, Holly turned away from the intercom system and back at the barely conscious Knochen who laid on the floor, his arms trying to grasp the ground to stand up. "You!" She yelled as she lifted him up by the throat again, her other hand ripping off his visor exposing his distorted face. "B-brother!?" She blurted out as she quickly let go, his heavy body plummeting to the ground out of surprise. Blinking several times as he tried to regain his breath he looked around in a daze, finally being able to hear and see, now that his helmet was off. Looking at Holly, Knochen shook his head as he stared speechless.

Back at the office, Ramirez took another swig of cold water bitterly as he heard the slight bit of sadness in his subordinates voice, but before the supervisor could speak the siren sounded, as Holly's voice boomed over the intercom. "We'll have to cut this discussion short, looks like I'm needed!" Ramirez spoke as he opened the sliding door, and waited outside, figuring that the soldier in the room would follow in pursuit, but Ramirez never did check to make sure. The short man sprinting across the security dome as he took out his trusted dagger from his belt. He would face anything that endangered Thaos, it was his home.

At the research office, Holly almost teared up as she saw the contorted face of her brother, his exposed bone and muscle covered in dry blood. his left eye warped in the shape of an oval. Like a zombie's, Knochen's face was exposed. Rushing over to her brother, Holly hugged him with intensity as he felt the shooting pain of her uncontrolled strength. "Ah, ah! Too much...!" Knochen whispered in a raspy voice as he coughed. Listening to his sister's apologies. Accepting her apologies like any brother, Knochen began to stand up as he fell down again on his metal knee.

"Don't push yourself!" Holly spoke out helping him up, "We need to get you a new suit, especially considering that man is going to come after me eventually."
"Wait..." He interrupted, "Whose coming after you...?"
"I don't know his name but he surrendered to us at the front gate, he had on armor with a skull before I left."
"Then take me to that suit in the prototype lab... the one I gave input on..." Knochen spoke through gasps, his nerves screaming in pain from being so exposed to the elements.
"No! You can't fight-"
"LET ME DO THIS! You are the only one I have left... I won't let you die here..."

Gritting her teeth Holly looked back and forth in the room, deciding what she should do, she didn't want her brother to be hurt, but there was no way she could win without his help. "Fine..." She whispered sadly as she kicked open the office door, as a rush of soldiers ran by in the direction of the security dome. Holly carrying Knochen through the long hallway connected to numerous labs and offices. The two finally stopping at the central room, labeled prototype testing. Kicking open the door again, the place was empty except for a large exo-suit hanging on the wall with one large cannon attached to the machine's right arm. Pressing several buttons on the control panel next to the suit the machine opened up revealing a small cockpit so to speak, barely big enough for an average human.

Gently placing Knochen inside, his face being covered as the head of the machine came down over his like a helmet, the suit closed up the cockpit leaving nothing exposed to the outside world. The eyes of the machine lighting up in bright red. "Well, they wanted their toy tested..." Holly spoke as she watched the machine climb down from its mount. The room shaking from the weight of the metal. Its slow movement speed a hazard, considering it was only a prototype. The hud on the inside of the helmet lighting up brightly in hundreds of numbers and thousands of pixels and electronics giving Knochen information. He felt no pain now that the stale air of a cockpit was against his exposed face.

"I'll meet you at the-" Holly couldn't finish her sentence as the left hand of the suit reached out and grabbed her face lifting her in the air, "Stay out of this Hol, this is my problem now." Knochen spoke through his new speakers as several guards running outside saw their boss being attacked. The soldiers rushing in and firing their pistols at the machine's head the bullets bouncing off as if they were nothing. "STAND DOWN!" Knochen screamed over their guns as he raised his right arm, the rotary cannon firing a three bullet burst, killing the man and pushing his body against the wall with a thud. The prototype had much power, despite its slowness. Knochen liked it.

Breaking down the plaster wall, as he fired off several more rounds into the guards, Knochen punched a hole in a wall next to the prototype room as he placed Holly in there. "Stay here." Knochen spoke as he moved, his sister full of anger and remorse for her choice, as she ran and checked on the wounded and dead soldiers in front of her. "KAIN!" Knochen shouted across the research dome the new suit giving him plenty of power, more so than his sister ever had. Moving through the research dome, several guards who were at the various offices began running in the opposite direction towards the security dome, Knochen's prototype machine mowing down Thaos operatives as if they were nothing.

(OOC: Ramirez would be a tier 2-2, where Holly would be 2-1, and Knochen with the suit would be 1-3)

Yuri heard the sirens and the intercom. Really Kain? He hadn't even done anything yet! He clenched his jaw and his eyes burned with anger. He nodded and was about to leave with Remiraz when the didn't even look back. Yuri stayed in the room and allowed the door to be closed. No one even knew he was in there. He locked the door and stabbed his knife in the space between the door and the jam to jam the thing. He went over to the consoles as he felt something land on his shoulder. "You know...I'm pissed off at Kain right now...despite he allowed me to have opportunity..." He spoke to the little fairy.

He started typing away, trying to search for the boss lady. He soon found her and Knochen in the research domes. He followed them on the cameras and his eyes widened in horror. He searched for where Kain was at too. He got on the intercom. "All personal, stay away from the former prisoner at X and away from the research domes! The prototype is being active, I repeat, the prototype is active!" Turning it off, he spoke again to Alice. "Leave Ramiraz to me, I'll meet Kain up later. Tell Kain to be careful, he can flank Knochen at X, X, or X if he hurrys. That suit has tough armor and a gatling gun and it seemed to have dramatically increased his power. Go, and hurry!"

He pointed at general direction of the prototype suit. As long as he can see where his power was going and point in the general direction, he theoritically had no range limit. From behind the suit, a magic circle formed and fired a huge beam of holy energy at its back with the power of a Gran Rey Cero. That was all he did to the suit...for now...

He exited the security dome after finding out where Ramiraz was. He blurred towards him...and past him. Spinning twice he faced his "supervisor" with his gun and knife ready. "I don't believe we've been properly introduced, Mr. Ramiraz. Name's Yuri Romanov...and this project will be terminated." The blond fired twice, once aiming for the knee and another aiming for the gut. Then he closed, stabbing towards the throat, and firing again at the feet. He moved fast, but in any test in physical might, he'll probably lose as he was merely average in strength. The curtain was falling...

The woman knew Kartos Prime. Fantastic, that pleased him to know he'd cause those dogs trouble. One step closer to wiping the overseers out. Kain's blood lust rose in anticipation of the fight ahead, but the woman vanished with Knochen.. Damn it.. He figured the best direction to go was in towards the security dome. He started walking, phaseing through walls. A man seen him and tried to shoot him. Kain laughed and kept going.

He ended up outside the building, gunmen rushing towards him weapons raised. "HALT!" One of the men shouted. He looked familiar, possibly the man who stopped him before. Kain took a step forward. They took a step back and opened fire, each bullet passing through him harmlessly and hitting the wall behind. They eventually stopped shooting.

Kain smiled beneat his helm. "Why aren't you running... Do you not recognise death itself?!" Kain shouted. he raised both hands, and formed thirty small bolts of purple energy, each as strong as a bala. They shot out in all directions, not really aiming to kill. Some did just that but others only wounded. Eirther way it sent the men running.

Kain continued at a leisurely pace towards the security dome, when there was a sudden announcment to stay away from the research dome. And him. The soldiers were already doing that, but they all backed off far enough that he couldn't see anyone around. A sientist did cross his path and started screaming, but he walked right past.

Then Alice contacted him. Knochen's in that thing.. Oh and Yuri's mad at you. She said. Thats nice. Where am I going? He asked ignoring her amusement. Dead ahead, He's coming right for you. And true to her word, he could hear knochen shouting his name. Now Kain sped up. blurring with insane speed into the building to meet Knochen.

He met the robot head on, smiling. "Well this is interesting. Wait, was that psycho your sister? Haha, oh my. She was so close to killing you, that would have made my day. Well.. Lets end this then." As Kain said that, his form blurred and ice rose into the air around him. The skull mask stayed, but the armor shattered, replaced by a long robe like coat, and a pair of black feathered wings spread from his back. His eyes glowed red.

Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3]   Who Steals Sand? [Mission 3] - Page 2 EmptyWed Feb 06, 2013 10:21 pm

Hearing the message over the intercom Ramirez swore as he heard the news of the prototype being activated in such an early stage, but he had no idea why everyone was retreating from the research labs until his headset gave him the information he needed, that whoever was in that suit had gone rogue. Kicking an empty gun rack into the wall, the Puerto Rican man moved quickly to the holding cell area just as he felt the presence of energy behind him and then suddenly in front of him. The supervisor's gut instinct telling him someone was using blur, he braced himself knowing that only he and Holly were known users in Thaos. To his luck the gut feeling paid off as Yuri introduced himself before firing a few rounds at Ramirez who couldn't react physically in time, but thanks to his one unique skill the bullets were stopped in their place as an energy barrier erected in the two points where the bullets would have penetrated.

The reaction barriers giving Ramirez enough time to dodge the initial stab as he protected his throat with his hand which received a small gash across the back of it. Quickly taking in the situation, Ramirez heard the faint shouts of Knochen calling out Kain in the distance, but ignoring the background noise Ramirez took out his own pistol with relative ease firing in a burst of three aimed at Yuri's chest. "I see no point in this quarrel, all we have done is follow the orders, using our own sand to create weapons to protect Egypt! But if you must damn us all to Hell, I'll be sure to take you down with me!" Ramirez shouted as he went forward with a powerful lounge, his combat dagger in his left hand, the weapon being three feet long.

Marching across the hallways of the research laboratories, Knochen breathed heavily as his human fatigue started to settle in, a circumstance which the prototype was more than glad to help with as several control systems were taken over by the computer inside. "Anomaly detected." The machine spoke to Knochen as the huge suit took evasive action on its own, the pilot starting to fade out as he still mumbled death threats at Kain. After all, Knochen was only human. With half open eyelids, or what was left of them, Knochen still tried to stay awake as best he could as the machine broke left from its straight path into another hallway, the blast of energy tearing through the research dome as it broke the out layer of the wall, creating a large enough hole connecting the outside and the inside. "Anomaly Evaded, taking countermeasures. Loading facility map." The machine spoke mechanically as it took into account the changing environment of the complex being damaged.

At the same time the many units in the complex fled to the nearby data sifting dome with the rest of the non combatants, a few strays lagging behind in the complex, but not enough to pose any real threat. Holly still in the back of the research facility tending to the few soldiers Knochen fired at.

The audio receptor's picking of Kain's talking, the suit turned on its own as its highly experimental Artificial Intelligence recorded what Kain said and did, the machine studying as it transferred the information via the HUD to Knochen who still laid half awake in the exo-suit. "Threat ahead, prepared." The suit boomed, this time with its external speakers rather than its inward audio. The presence of ice being noted automatically by the system's computer as it moved forward. The suit's bright red eyes which seemed to glow cold and calculating stared into Kain's red glowing eyes. Without warning the machine fired a burst of raw bullets four times as four bullets fired each time, its magazine of ammo no where near empty yet. The chain gun firing in bursts instead to pinpoint and increase its accuracy while reducing recoil.
